Apparently the woman who said to plug in the tv and a gave you a list of other things like that was under the asumption that you were retarded. so if you dont drool or wear a helmet then just pay her post no attention. I have no helpful tips or ideas for your tv but I just wanted to let you know that I dont think you sounded in the least bit "special"

This happened to my TV a year or so ago. It ended up being a capacitor in the power supply. It took the tech about 10 minutes to replace and cost me 400 bucks!! He wouldnt tell me what he replaced, but I be it was a 2.00 part. If you are good with a soldering iron, you might be able to find it and replace it, but if you mess something up, it will cost you. The tuner module was over 700 bucks.

Check to make sure it is plugged in, and try the front panel POWER button.
• Check the wall receptacle (and extension cord, if applicable) to make sure it is “live” by plugging in something else.
• Maybe remote control is not aimed at remote sensor.
• Unplug. Wait five minutes. Plug in again.

TRY DOING THIS... GOODLUCK!!!1

** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !

If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.

Rca l26wd23 will not turn on, screen remains blank.

TVs today are becoming similar to computers and use hardware and software to deliver the picture and the sound. Similar to how a computer can lock-up and then you have to re-boot, TVs sometimes have problems that you can fix by resetting, or rebooting, them. To reset your TV, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, power strip, etc. Keep your TV unplugged for about 5 minutes. Then, plug the TV back in, turn the TV on, and see if the problem is fixed. If the problem remains, then please contact RCA Customer Support using the Support link in the top navigation on this page.

The STANDBY light will flash if the television detects an issue within the television. Some of these issues can be resolved simply by following the steps below to reset the television.
If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required . Please note the number of times the STANDBY light flashes and relay that information to the service center.
  1. Turn off the television. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
  2. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
  4. Turn on the television.

SONY BRAVIA KDL-40s4100 is not working right

Please check whether the connections are secured between the TV and the connected devices.

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

Try connecting the TV to a different wall outlet and check if that helps.

Please connect a different device to the TV and check whether the issue persists.

If the issue still persists service of the TV is determined.

Sony Grand WEGA KF42WE610 42" turns on and off

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

Please make sure that the videos sources are connected properly to the TV.

Try Power Resetting the TV.

Please disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet (for approximately 1 minute), then reconnect the power cord and check whether the issue is resolved.

Also try connecting the TV to a different wall outlet and check if that helps.

it sounds like you may have a bad power supply. Before you do anything else try pulling the power on the tv then plug it back in. Also if it is on a power strip try plugging it directly in the wall, you mar have a bad power strip. Try a different electrical outlet if it plugged dirrectly in the wall.
