SOURCE: how to install front wheels

Please be sure to unplug the vacuum before doing this. Pull the sides from top cover on the floor portion (Where the light is) and it pops right off. After the cover is off, step on the lever to tilt the handle back like you are going to sweep. Lay the handle all the way down to the floor to raise the bottom of the vacuum somewhat so you can reach under it. You should be able to push up on the front wheel assembly, it should be very loose. If you look on the top of the vacuum where you removed the cover you should see a clip that moves when you push up on the wheels. Carefully squeeze the clip to push it past the opening and the front wheel assembly should drop down to make removal possible. This works on the Breath Easy model.

My Windtunn begless hoover vaccum cleaner which i bought in dec gets very hot and smells like burning and belt gets hot and then it splits in two pieces,i changed 3 belts already .i bought it from...

check to make sure that the brush wheel turns freely ( without belt on ) -- if it does not turn freely then there could be hair or carpet strands twisted up on the ends of the wheel,, inspect and clean. also make sure that the wheel cartridge is sitting nicely in its mounting area,, ( again - make sure the wheel turns freely ). now if it is moving freely - then make sure the height adjustment on the vacume is set to the proper height for your carpet thickness,, it kinda sounds like the brush wheel is not turning because it has to much pressure on the floor.
so -- make sure wheel spins freely, replace the belt and adjust the height and then check the unit for proper operation.

Need a front wheel assembly for my Hoover Tempo model u5144-900. I see similar looking Hoover wheel assemblies online for different models, will they fit mine?

The Tempo series cleaners look similar, but are different colors. The wheel assemblies will work if they look identical in appearance to yours.
