Printer doesnt install correctly


message appears failed to start control center the required registry information is missing please re-install the multi-function suite 9cc3-001-00001970   have attempted to reinstall disc several times have vista premium as installing several messages indicate that correct loading is not happening. downloaded drivers from site

    My product is a Brother MFC240c and I have vista home premium and have downloaded the new drivers and get the message: "Failed to start the Control Center. The required registry information is missing. Please re-install the Multi-Function Suite. (cc3-001-00001904)

Well I've installed the printer however the control center is not firing up and when it does, it just stalls could it be a flash drive issue?

Did you download the vista drivers or the xp drivers?

Did you disable the User Account Control and tried installing the Software completely?? You will have to uninstall all the previous version Applications and then disable the UAC and install the application,.

The error "CC025" appears [DCP-115C]

first uninstall the MFL Pro Suite & all the componants, shut down and restart system fresh install MFL Pro Suite fro the original CD supplied.

I have an error message - ControlCenter2.0 - re-install the software like it says, or try a system restore to a few days ago when it was still working:
in XP:
"System Tools"
"System restore"
"Restore My computer to an earlier time".....

Type "Restore" into the "start menu search box", select it, and follow the prompts.

Missing regisrry info

yes it should be on your software disk. usually when you get a service pack update for windows it causes some registries to disappear...

you can also enter the information about your printer on the webpage listed below and download the software from brother.

Solution Follow the steps below:
  1. Click Start , then Printers and Faxes .
  2. Right-click the system default printer and click Properties .
  3. On the General tab, right-click the default printer and click Copy .
  4. Click Cancel to exit.
  5. Click Start and then click Run .
  6. In the Run dialog box, type regedit and click OK . WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Hewlett-Packard cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of the Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the Registry before you edit it. For information about how to edit the Registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" help topics in Regedit32.exe.
  7. In the Registry Editor window, click Edit , then click Find... , and search for the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hewlett-Packard\DigitalImaging\hpfccopy .
  8. Double-click Printer in the right pane.
  9. In the Edit String window, paste the printer name as it appears in the Registry under Value data (for example, hp photosmart 8400 series) .
  10. Click OK and close the Registry Editor.
  11. Press Copy on the scanner. The default printer connected to the system should normally print the scanned document.
Cause This issue occurs when the default printer or the list of printers is not recognized on the hpfccopy function in the Current User section of the Registry.

Wont Print

Ok. i have seen this before. Your driver may be corupt, and the systems applet may actually be missing. Uninstall the printer completely. Run a search at the start menu and type in your printer name to make sure no corrupted files have been left behind. You need to run good antispyware, antivirus (i recomment avg free for both) then run regcure or similar to correct any bad registry errors. My neighbours did this and we fixed it with this solution. Now, once all clean and all registry cleaned, go to your manufacturers (canon) site and download a new driver, there may be an updated one too. Now install printer with new driver. Good luck!!!
