Try removing the batteries in addition to reseting the calculator.

solution did not help me.
Here it is 9 yrs. later and having the same problem as in 2007. You'd think by now they'd have perfected it! How do you reset the calculator? Cannot take it off "Print". Batteries not the problem. "E" remains and device is locked.
