With the router on, hold down the "reset" button on the back for 10 seconds. This will reset your password and restore factory default settings.

You may need to reset your device and you will see a reset button at back of your router so all you need is to keep holding it for 10 seconds then unplug the power jack for like 1 min and then your device shall be reset.But please make sure to backup your all settings first.

Are both the gateway and the phone on the same group?

No.
Try 'admin' and "blank".
Try "blank" and 'admin'.
Failing that, do the "reset to factory settings",
and then reconfigure your VOIP settings.

Try to configured it automatically not manually. I encountered this problem also when i configured it manually but when i configured it automatically with DHCP and it works!

With just 10 phones, I dont usually worry about it. If your vocie quality suffers, you may need to, but i dont usually worry until around 20 phones.

If you do need to set up a Vlan and enable qos, you are going to need to upgrade your switch.

Most cable Internet Service Providers (ISP) use a Media Access Control (MAC) Authentication to establish Internet connections for end-users. A MAC address is assigned a unique 48-bit (6-byte) integer that is attached to an Ethernet NIC for each computer. To set-up your Linksys gateway to a Cable ISP, you have to do MAC Cloning. MAC Cloning is a procedure which enables a gateway to copy the MAC Address of the PC that’s registered with the ISP.
To setup a Linksys gateway with Cable connection you need to perform five steps:

1. Verifying Internet Connection
2. Connecting Devices Together
3. Checking the Gateway’s LEDs
4. Configuring a Linksys Gateway for a Cable Connection
5. Power Cycling
