Any microwave with a mis-aligned or loose door is probably leaking excessive microwave energy, and should not be operated unless a leak test is conducted using a calibrated meter. Unless you own such a meter, the oven should be inspected and repaired by a qualified technician.
This indicates a problem in the keypad control board, defective thermal fuse, or a partly shorted magnetron, "gets to hot" this will require a professional to assess the situation.
I have the same issue, plus mine shuts down after 30 seconds. There are a few other similar issues on here, with solutions including unplugging it for 10 seconds, replacing a fuse, and replacing half the internals. Please post your fix if you find one!
Hi mstgermai267, I have the same problem on myBosch microswave HMT 9656/GB, which stops after 22 seconds and does not heat. Did you ever get to the bottom of your problem, which seems to have cropped up with a number of Bosch microwave oven owners? There is a suggestion that there is some sort of internal fuse that may have blown.
I think you very possibly have a 2 part problem. Firstly, replace the lamp assembly, then replace the turntable motor. If you have a little electrical knowledge, place a tester on the turntable wires when microwave is on and check for voltage.Remember, run microwave as if you were cooking (Place water in unit when switched on).If there is power, then the motor is faulty.
It also gives out a burning smell after running for a few seconds.
