I have a SE K310i. It is the "spiderman3" edition and has a few pictures and a trailer of that movie which are protected( i.e cant be deleted by users like me). The video occupies 2.9Mb. I want to delete it. Please help me. This would free up a significant amount of memory. Current available memory is 13.4Mb.

Yes - it is possible to modify the content of a cell without deleting everything.
Place your curser in the cell without writing or doing anything.
You will now be able to se the content of the cell in the upper row - same place where you give in formular etc.. Here you can edit the content of the cell - a part of the text or formular without loosing everything.
That means that your SD card (or whichever memory card you use) is write protected and you cannot edit the card's content in any way.
Take your memory card out of the camera and plug it into your computer. There should be a place for you to change the memory card's protections that way. Sometimes, as with USB drives, there might be a small sliding lock physically located on the card which will also write protect the device.
