I have a 2006 Bmw 3 series coupe. System - Kenwood Kvt 627, with KNA DV 3200 with KNA TM320 Live Traffic unit.
I have had a lead connected to pin 8 in the 26block connection behind my instrument Speedo, this lead is connected to the white pulse cable on the DV3200. Both the green parking sensor cables have been grounded via an earth as they are not connected to the parking system.
When I have plotted my destination, the system talks to me informing me that my guidance is about to commence after calculating my route and giving me 3 options shortest, fastest etc.
Unfortunately thereafter there is no more communication from the unit apart from the visual map route displayed showing me the road in which I am travelling. There are not voice guidance on when to take a left/right turn nor is there visual guidance on the map pointing out a turn lies ahead in as many metres etc.
When I have reached my destination the unit switches back on stating I have just reached my destination.
Can you please enlighten me what the problem may be and if possible have a solution to the problem which I am currently facing.
Please note, my GPS signals have picked up at least 5-6 satellites so that is working fine also, it is just the voice guidance and on screen visual prompts of when to turn that is not functioning.
Note.
The Traffic unit doesn?t always show in the navigation set up menu as being highlighted.

I have the very same unit, what you need to do is find the vehicle speed sensor and attach the white lead to it, then connect the handbrake lead too. You can`t fool this system, if it says connect to VSS, handbrake etc then connect them. You will find that once programmed you will get all the voice prompts and re-routing as it should do. IF there is no route guidance it is because the unit is not receiving VSS information from the vehicle. Confirm that you are getting the VSS info from the correct source and or use Rostra Precision Control's cruise control guide to confirm your VSS wire.

hi i have a vauxhall astra w reg 2000 plate car and the kenwood kvt 725dvdb 7" motorised tv screen with the kenwood kna dv3200 sta nav rom unit the problem i have is similar that when i use my navigation unit it is not re routing me when i change course neither does it voice navigate me otherwise everything else functions fine the rote calculates and the voice speaks and says please refer to the map and only voice sounds once i have reached my destination i have had everything with both units in the orignal box my satalite signals are all working fine too i was wondering if you can tell me why i have this problem i have also upgraded the map cd to the 2003 version for the united kingdom please help me does it mean my voice navigation and re route functions are not working?also i have got a separate canvas or canbus unit which i have not installed is that why them functions are not working?hope to hear from you thanks
I have simular problem, no voice guidance. only at beginning and end there is a message. please who can help?

I have exactly the same issues with navi guidance at start and end, al other elements of the systems work fine, would be grateful if anyone can recommend any ideas
