Correction ribbon The correction ribbon is not jumping up properly. I have the right ribbon. The shinning side is facing me. I need a photo or drawing showing the right way to thread ribbon through guides.

Never mind.... figured this one out myself:

The correction tape must follow the same guides as the typewriting ribbon.  If the correction tape is NOT jumpting up properly, then it is placed erroneously in front of the ribbon guides.

my correction tape is "jumping up" properly, and the letters are hitting and imprinting on the correction tape (the shiny side is toward me) but it is not erasing the mistake!

You must make sure the black ribbon is a "correctable" ribbon and not a "multi strike" ribbon. You can usually tell by the color of the dial on the ribbon. A correctable ribbon is either yellow or orange. If it sis any other color then is will not correct. Hope this helps.

Radio just stopped working on a 2002 dodge grand caravan. Checked the fuse box under hood it showed fuse to be good. What else could it be?

There's a fuse cover in the lower half of the drivers side (about shin height when you're sitting in the seat) All the accessory and lighting fuses are located there. I've seen 3 different images of where the fuses are supposed to be located ( a cover on the outer side of the dash facing the drivers' door, a fuse panel above the driver's shins and one in the kick panel - can't confirm which location is correct...) That fuse panel will house all the accessory and lighting fuses.

I have a brother GX6750 typewriter do not understand how to install correction ribbon

well, the correction ribbon is for erasing mistakes, it literally, pulls the ink off the paper, but you have to hit the correction button, the type writer will back up and pull the ink, but you would hear ait and be able to tell the diff. I think maybe you should check 1st that the ink ribbon is the 1 closest to you, and the correction ribbon is behind the ink ribbon- also make sure they are in the correct direction- ink side of the ribbon facing your paper- sticky side of the correction ribbon facing the paper- so its you, the ink ribbon and then the correction ribbon then the paper

I installed new correction tape, but there's too much play in it. It keeps unravelling. I have no idea how to tighten it up. When I turn the take-up spool, it just unravels it more without tightening...

Verify that you have installed the proper correction tape. The types of tape that can be used with this system are: Item 1030 - Correctable Film Ribbon, 1230 - Correctable Film Ribbon 2pack, 1031 - Multi Strike Ribbon, 1032 - Nylon Ribbon, 3010 - Lift-off correction tapes (to be used with 1030 and 1230 ribbons), 4010 Cover-up Correction tape (to be used with 1031 and 1032 ribbons).
Make sure that the correction tape is installed properly. Pass the tape through the left guide, behind the ribbon guide and out through the right guide. The rough side of the tape should face the platen. Attach the feeder spool to the pin on the left. Attach the take up spool to the pin on the right. Turn the take up spool counter clockwise until a small amount of tape has wound around it. Replace the cassette ribbon and close the case cover. Press [CODE] + [RESET] to move the carrier to the previous position.

Move carrier to middle with spacebar.
Open lid, remove black ribbon and old correction tape.
Gently pull new tape apart a few inches. attach take-up spool (empty one) to right post.
Pass through right ribbon guide, sticky side faces platen!
Unspool carefully thread through left ribbon guide.
Attach feeder spool to the left post.

I do not know how to load the correction tape...can you help me?

the easiest fix, is to take the machine to a repair shop that sells corr. tapes and ask them to install it. watch how it's done. look in the yellow pages. if you can't find a shop close, - - - first, take the ribbon off, then you put the supply side on the post on the left of the printhead. above the tape and right in front of the cardholder there is a guide for the tape that is black and has 2 fingers pointing to the left. turn the tape so that the part that is facing down as it comes off the spool is facing to the left, put he tape in the guide, between the two metal fingers and the card holder, then into the black guide on the right side and then put the take up spool on the post and turn to take up the slack. put the ribbon back on

Changed correction tape but still won't work

either; 1. you have a non-correctable film ribbon, (it should say correctable film ribbon on the box or the ribbon itself) you can check by taking a piece of scotch tape, hold it next to the letter you want to erase, sticky side towards the paper, and hit the CORR key, CAREFULL YOUR FINGERS AREN'T IN THE WAY. if it corrects, the ribbons ok. 2. make sure the DULL side of the corr. tape is faced toward the paper

PUT THE CORRECTION TAPE ON CORRECTLY

First, remove the ribbon. Now look at the left side of the printhead. (thats the unit that moves back and forth) You will notice that, above the spindel that you put the correction tape on, and towards the platen, on the black plastic, there is a recessed flat place about the width of the correction tape with slight serrations in it. This is the guide for the corr. tape. There is one like this on the right side also.
Put the corr. tape on the spindle, keeping slight tension on the tape, give it a 1/2 turn so the underside (dull) side is facing to the left, and put it in the guide. Then you put the tape behind the two metal "fingers" that are sticking up in front of the printwheel, and then into the guide on the right side. Then put the other corr. tape spool on the post on the right side, and turn it until the red "leader" on the tape is past the middle of the printwheel. The dull side of the corr. tape is the side that does the corrections, so make sure that side is facing towards the platen. Make sure the ribbon goes behind the metal fingers also. The tape and the ribbon should both be between the fingers and the metal cardholder.

Correction Tape

Two possibilities, one the correction tape is twisted and the wrong side is .facing the paper. The shinny side should be facing you, the dull side facing the paper. Second possibility you must make sure the ribbon is compatible with the correction tape. There are 2 types of ribbons. A correctable one (orange or yellow knob) and a multi strike (blue or purple knob on ribbon cartridge). The lift off correction tape (orange or yellow spools) only works with the correctable ribbon and the cover up correction tape (blue) works with the multistrike ribbon.

make sure the ribbon is installed properly. The thermal ribbons are only coated on one side with ink. Make sure the right side is facing the paper. If that is not the issue the thermal head might be bad.
