Hello,
You have a common problem for monitors 2-3 years old. The internal power supply has died. If you can solder you should be able to do the repair yourself. Go to our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and look at the pictures. Open your monitor up and look for parts that look like the pictures on our site, replace any you see. The values to use are located on the sides of the bad caps. Be sure to use high temp (105c) replacements, not ones from Radio Shack, they will blow out in no time because of the high in the monitors. We carry them in stock or you can order them from several places on the internet. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we can do it for you. We charge $35 + return shipping.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

I have the exact same problem as teddysmom. No power, nothing, completely dead. Unfortunately the only solution was to buy a Dell!
Same problem here. Trying to fix it.
Same here!
Same problem here....No power LED and no power to monitor. I have swapped out with another monitor so cables are not a problem. Nor is the power source....
My Monitor did exactly the same. For a couple of months it would seem to restart itself,go blank then show the acer logo, then it would go back to working fine but ,all of a sudden, after I turned it off for the night, kaput,no power,no light at the power button nothing. New Monitor time I guess?Tried different cord different plug etc...
