Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

I have removed all music from my gogear vibe 4gb and reset it but it keeps telling me there is no free space

You may have to reformat it again? Or indeed you may have to put the complete software back on it again after a reformat? Try a "restore to factory settings" if available before reformatting. Sometimes if not deleted properly the media can be corrupted and then it must be reformatted again, usually you can hook up USB to the PC and reformat and re-image the software and directory structure all again, then you can put new songs back on it.
Obtain a manual, and use this to assist you they always help. below is a link for your support site and to obtain a manual.

The music wont show up on the computer

There a are only a few things that could be wrong. Its either the player is broken internally and won't play again, you may need to reformat the player so if will be at factory settings to refresh it so it will work, or that there is no music currently on the player because its not reading or receiving any. Reformatting is the best option.

Hey on the Coby MP715.. How do you reformat It... Mine is frozen on Please Wait

You can reformat it by first resetting it then plugging it into your computer. The method of doing this on a PC is to right click the mp3 player under (My) Computer and then choosing reformat... Make sure you backup all your music and the system files first. Good luck!

How to reformat a coby mp805 2gb mp3 player ...........freezes up when I press the music botton

I work for COBY tech support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

If you want to reformat the unit, find it on your "My Computer" screen. You'll find "My Computer" on your start menu. The player should appear as a removable disk. Right-mouse click on the icon and choose format. However, if this doesn't solve the problem you're having, the unit needs to be exchanged. Have you tried the reset hole on the back of the player?

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. I hope I've earned a positive rating from you today.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
