    Cannot find how to select the number of rings before the machine answers your incoming calls. Manual does not tell you how to do this.

The ring select is located on the back of the device where you plug in the cord.

There is a button on the bottom of the 'cradle' of the phone next to the places where the cords are plugged into the cradle

How do you change the number of rings before machine kicks in
Press and hold the STOP/SET button for two seconds. After the time and day you can change the rings to answer.

I have a GE29869GE2 Answering machine, no instructions anymore. How do I change the number of times the phones rings before receiving the greeting kicks in?
1. Press set button
2. Use next and previous buttons to select number of rings setting and press set.
3. Select the number of rings you want.
4. press set again to save setting.
