No Sound I have just purchased an Acer Aspire L320, I have plugged in the speakers and have no sound at all. I have tried every jack without any luck. I know it must be something simple that I'm missing. Any help would be grand and welcomed. cheers Vanessa

Hello
Please go to your control panel and double click on "sounds and audio devices" then click on "Advanced" in volume tab.
Check if the volume is muted and uncheck it, also check if the volume level is low.

Also please ensure your if your speakers need to be pluged into electricity mains or if they need batteries.

check first you headphone jack speaker. if its working well, then the line from phone jack male to speaker continuity.

that means the guy or someone who replace the new harddrive didn't to a good job on restiall a new window vista for you, just simply go acer.com and search your model, redownload the sound card driver.

that's it.................

must be sound card driver problem.

Not enough jack

You need to buy an external sound card, without which you will not be able to get much from your speakers. It will not produce surround sound.

The sound card will give you required jacks and will produce real good sound. You may try audigy cards from creative.

Soundcard acer aspire 5630

Laptop speakers are usually **** so you could spend a lot of time and money on something that won't make a difference. Try plugging in external speakers to the headphone jack. If the sound is good don't bother looking for a fix.

hi! there,
check your sound device on control panel if there configure device,if no device check your sound device driver,you can see this on your device manager,also on control panel,go to system click it,on system properties click your harware,go to device maneger,on sound video click propeties,if no driver up date sound driver.or have installed on mother board cd installer,if there sound driver on your system,if you have the sound device check the volume, adjust volume and check if mute was activated,deactivate,on voice box check your test voice harware you can hear also,adjust the volume,if still no sound you may have an hardware problem if this a built in device,take this on service center hwere you buy this staff with warranty papers.they will arrange this for you.have a nice day,don't forget to rate me,thanks,

hello, check the volume. also the jacks are color coded. green is speakers,pink is mic,blue is line in. if this does not help, consider adding sound card(this will give a better quality of sound than onboard sound) hope this helps! good luck, glen.

Dead Acer L320

I have the same system acer aspire l320 and had the same problem. They sent an engineer hhhhhh replaced my motherboard This is the only fix to this problm, dontbuyreplacement monitor as u r wasting your money.
