Question about Poulan/Weed Eater No. Te475 952711797 17" Le Gas Trimmer/Edger

Weed eater featherlite primer bulb won't fill with gas. it does not appear to be broken and fuel line is clear and filter is new. any ideas?

i think it was the small teeny weeny screen (fuel filter) that is part of the carburetor body. i did not even know it was there. i thought the only fuel filter was in the gas tank. i studied a parts breakdown and discovered it. i think we are going again.

Hello

From your Description and Depending on the OEM (Zama or Walbro) of the Carburetor it Sounds like a Bad Fuel Filter or the Primer Check Valve has Stuck and the Carburetor Requires Soaking and Cleaning.

On this Page Select Illustrated Parts List from the Menu on the Left. Now Select the Manufacturer (Poulan/Weed Eater) and Enter the Model Numbers in the Boxes at the Lower Left of the Page.
I Require the OEM (Walbro, Zama, ect) and the Model Numbers Off the Carburetor. With these I can Locate a Breakdown of the Carburetor and Better Assist you.

Could be that the filter stone in the gas tank is stopped up. You may try putting a new one on the line. It could also be a crack in the primer bulb not allowing it to force the gas up.

one line goes to a pipe at the base of the primer bulb and the other to the pipe in the side of the carby

Hi, I have a PP330 weed eater, it was running fine, cut off and will run if sprayed with quick start fluid, but will not stay running, any ideas?

It pretty much has to be a gas/carb problem.
Broken fuel line in the tank. Stopped up fuel filter. Leaking primer bulb (if it has one.) Dirty carb.

If it's the one that comes 'out' of the primer bulb it is the return line that goes in the fuel tank.

Primer bulb not filling

Bulb or fuel line could have a crack or a clog in fuel line/filter or carburetor. Here's a video on how to change the bulb and fuel lines and another video on how to clean/rebuild the carburetor.

change the fuel lines over on the carby
you are trying to feed fuel through the primer line when the engine is running and that is why it is cutting out

Replaced gas tank and primer bulb on my Poulan Leafblower FL1500 and it appears I'm not getting gas into the carb. Any ideas as to what my be the cause?

I assume the new tank came with new fuel lines and filter in it.
First be sure you have all the lines hooked up correctly. There should be a main line from the tank ( has the fuel line on the end of it in the tank) to the fuel pump side of the carb. Then there should be a line leaving the metering side of the carb to the primer bulb then from the primer bulb returning to the tank. When you press the primer bulb you should see it **** the fuel into the carb then from the carb into the primer bulb then back into the tank.
If the fuel lines are all hooked up correctly then you should rebuild the carb.

there are two lines going into the tank one is short which just goes in the for pressure from the primer bulb the other line goes to the filter which goes to the carburator

One line is a return line short, the other is connected to the filter and to the carb fuel intake. The primer bulb will not fill if they are reversed.

I am trying to repair the fuel intake on a featherlite weed eater

replaced fuel lines on sear weedeater and primer button still acts like it is suching against a vacume. push it in and it won`t release. this unit in same as my featherlite carb and tank. What do I look for line are not restricted, but car not drawing fuel?????
