Does the menu button work without the cover or the old cover on? If so, is the new cover an official nokia one, as some unofficial ones prevent the buttons working properly due to misfit.
ya there is one way to unlock your mobile ,but you have to provide me
your mobile IMEI no .which can be obtain by pressing *#-6# at the
screen ,it will show IMEI no of your mobile ,it will 15 digit no...just

hi there i have had a nokia 8800 since the week it was released in the uk 2006 it is by far the best looking handset i have ever owned but i battle daily with it switching it's self off as it thinks it has low battery. from this this phone with a good battery fully charged expect no more than 24hrs standby and 35mins talktime on a good day
Nokia 8800 has the worst battery ever. Its a known issue. You need to have your phone flashed at a nokia service center, and get the new 8800 battery which ships on the 8800 sirocco BL6X.
