Why does new card say it needs formating

This is not unusual. There are many different formats that could be put on your SanDisk, but you must be sure to put the correct one that is compatible with your camera. Consult your Kodak manual or phone a Kodak agency. Common formats are FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, EXT3, but there are many others. A lot of cameras that I have used use FAT32. If the SanDisk has the wrong format for your camera or a corrupt format, you will get this error message.
Most cameras can do the formatting required for the SanDisk, Again check manual or Agency for HOW TO. If the camera cant, you can format it on a PC, a Tablet, or a Laptop provided you know what format your camera requires. It is not difficult. Good Luck.

SD card format ng no card

  • 1 Insert your SanDisk 8GB memory card into a card reader connected to your computer.
  • 2 Double-click "Macintosh HD" on your desktop.
  • 3 Click on the "Applications" folder, then the "Utilities" folder.
4 Double-click "Disk Utility". Look on the left side to locate the drive that says "SanDisk.
5 Select the capacity of the drive on the left side of the window. The capacity will state "8GB" or "8,388,608 kilobytes." Click on the "Erase" tab to format the memory card. When you see "SanDisk" listed as the device's name, the capacity will be located above. You need to select the capacity and not the device.
6 Select the appropriate "Volume Format." Under the "Volume Format" button, select the format you wish to use. Select "Mac OS Extended" if the SanDisk 8GB will only be used on Macs, or "MS-DOS (FAT)" if you will share the card between a Mac and PC. Select "Erase" to complete the format of your SanDisk 8GB memory card.

    Sandisk sansa e250 still sandisk

If the Sandisk sansa e250 appears under your computer you can format it by simply right clicking it and selecting format.

Quick format usually works best but make sure no applications are using the device when you format. If applications are using the device when you attempt to format you will get an error message that will prevent you from continuing.

You can disable any applications using the player by going to the task manager.
