see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Touchpad and Control Panel If the buttons don't work on the control panel the entire touchpad and control panel assembly may need to be replaced. If the display works but the dishwasher functions are all out of synch, or some of the buttons don't respond properly the entire touchpad and control panel might need to be replaced.

Touchpad If the buttons don't work on the control panel, the dishwasher touchpad might be at fault. Generally speaking, if the dishwasher display is working and some of the buttons respond correctly but some don't, the problem is with the touchpad.
Main Control Board The dishwasher has a main control board which regulates nearly every function in the dishwasher. If the control panel buttons don't work, and other causes have been have ruled out, the main control board might need to be replaced.

Dishwasher hums intermitantly and after the wash cycle is completed

Sounds like you have a bearing going out. It could be in the system pump or the rotating washing arms. I would suggest getting ahold of Kitchenaid's customer support and relay when during which cycle the noise occurs and they should be able to identify whats going wrong.

Loud humming just started during wash cycle

Humming can be simply due to a mechanical vibration when the wash pump is running. Alternatively it could be the sound of the detergent door solenoid which might be stuck.
Will need make and model number of dishwasher to give further advise. Does the dishwasher complete the cycle and drain out the water?

Dishwasher hums

empty out the unit and recheck the arm and rack then start it up empty and check operation --if huming but working properly --stated it does drain so motor is operating ---then its operating normal ---if arm still not working will need to remove arm and check gear or shaft for damage

Bosch dishwasher timer freezing

There is a recall on the control board of many of these models, butyour problem is likely not related. It sounds like a plugged drain system or a possible bad drain pump. That's why you are hearing the pump running constantly. I have written a guide to help. It is here. Thanks!
