I am unable to my camera to my pc, its not showing any usb connected

Having gone over a month without a reply to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

hi there you need to upgrade the firmware of the camera. Other wise you can do one this. Just remove the memory card from the camera and connect it in memory card reader. Then connect the card reader with PC for transferring the image. Also let me know when you connect the USB cable between Camera to PC with out install the camera software, what you seen?

may be you can try to get a external card reader
that you connect to the usb and it will be recognized
automatically,.

while the camera is connected to the computer does it show up in My Computer? If it does then you can go into the folders and get your pictures and copy and past them where you want them.

Computer does not recognize camera and unable to download pix???? It sounds like a bad usb cable connection. Try purchasing a new cable.

i think you are correct. Likely you are haveing a software compatibility issue. i am seeing this as a recurring problem. This problem is probably too complicated to solve here, so i will offer a work around: You may know this already, but you don't need the camera to upload photos. I rarely upload from my camera. You should be able to do so, but until you figure out the problem, remove the SD card and use a SD card reader. If your PC doesnt have a built in SD reader, get a USB version like the SanDisk MicroMate or get SD with a built-in USB plug(see attached photos for both. When connected to your PC, either will show up as a removeable drive on your PC from which you can copy the files onto your PC's harddrive: save the photos, back them up, then use the camera to format the SD card--this is the best way to clear/erase the card. Then try opening the photos. Using the camera to upload photos, in my opinion, should only be done when you do not have a way to read the SD card. This can be the begining of a productive workflow and part of the process for organizing and backing up photographs.

Does the word PC show up with the camera connected or disconnected?

When the camera is connected to the computer does the camera LCD screen show a USB menu on it with the option of PC highlit? If so, then you need to press Ok on the camera to get the camera and the computer to start communicating. Once communication established the camera screen should go black and your computer should indicate that a removable disk drive has been created. If the disk drive does not get created that could be the problem. After formatting my PC to upgrade it I've been unable to install the USB driver software to save pictures from my Tentax OPtio S4i to my PC.
