I have an acer aspire 5612 laptop which was connected to my tv via a VGA cable. Using clone desktop I was watching a program with my tv display on and laptop display off (I pressed Fn + F5 3 times to get this). During playback the laptop crashed for some reason. When I restarted the laptop both the LCD on the laptop and the TV screen was blank. I now have no way of seeing whats going on. I teried installing the recovery disc but this seems to do nothing after spinning up for about 10 seconds. When I switch the laptop on the CPU activity light comes on solid for about 5 seconds and then it seems to be doing nothing. I have tried entering safe mode by tapping F8 on startup but this will not work either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i have all my coursework on the laptop as well as family photos, none of which I can afford to lose!

Hi alden..your wish are here..if you need to go back as normal settings your laptop go to Bios Menu then resets all factory settings.then exit and save..Thanks and Good Luck

I can't get into the bios menu as with no display I can't see what I'm doing. Thanks for your help, but is there any way you can do it "blind".
