Question about RCA HD52W58 52" TV

Rca hd52w58 the tv has yellowish spots on the left side of the screen, no matter what channel you are on, is there a solution to this, could there still be warranty??

Could be burnt tubes or could be something on the optics .. sound like burnt tube.. burnt tube may be but most likey arent coverd in warrenty the tubes are about 250 to replace +labor and there are three. how big aret they quarter or size your hand? if the are small then they would be burnt tubes

Your lamp has burned out on the back of the set left or right side there is a door with 3-4 screws un-screw and pull out lamp tray. Buy lamp online or local and replace.

go into your settings on your tv, most of the time you can adjust the picture size to your own liking good luck!

I replaced the fl231 fuse in my rca HD52W58 and it went back out

Had the same problem , you have to resolder the flyback before replacing the fuse.

Where is the convergance amp?

Accros the top of the chassi.conv power supply is to the left

Does this tv have hdmi input and if so does the problem exist there?
If so I suspect the av input board could have a problem.

Missing channels

You could have problem in SSB board the one that has tuners on it to replace ssb borad 253.00 plus labor Repair cost 445.00 use your external jacks for video see if you have the channels then. No more then 2 missing channels verses no channels and SSB cost,I would leave it alone. But if you need any of the boards to this set call 1-800-648-6657 UED

Good Day, There is a device that can be used to correct your concerns. Symptoms can be correct by EE PROM CORRECTION TOOL:
LSUQ0100. Instructions included. Try calling 1-800-458-6053. It's under $100.00 and takes about 1 hour from start to finish. Good Luck, big IRISH.

Sony 42" grand wega LCD

We Cleaned the optic block as was instructed by another post. But now we have a wide ribbon of light yellowish to the right of our screen. Could it be more dust to be removed or now we can see there is more problems then we thought? Over all the screen looks much better. But a far cry from when it was new.

Rca Hd52w58 electrical short

Just replace it... it is called the High Voltage Splitter. One red wire is the high voltage input from the flyback (high voltage) transformer, 3 red wires are the high voltage outputs that go to the 3 picture tubes and the red wire by itself is the focus wire going to the focus block. Does your splitter have a small PC board on the side of it? What is the exact model or chassis number of your set? With that info I can give you the RCA part number of the splitter which makes ordering it much easier.
