you need the audio drivers for laptop, if you don't have the driver disk for your motherboard, go to the manufacturers site and type in support or drivers in your search, you should find it, and if not just do a windows update, to find driver needed for audio
About ur Speaker all u need to Do is connect the Speaker to other Audio Source like ipod/Zune or any MP3 player.if the Sound Doesnt Come Means the Speaker is Bad.
You need to install the audio driver of the board. Your board should come with a disc if not. go to ASUS website and downlaod the driver for your audio.

go to the support site for your motherboard, there you will get universal bus architecture device drive. Install this before you install the Audio/Sound driver.
