I turn the Camera on by the power button, lens comes out and green light at the back of the Camera flashes quickly about 14 times ,shows 1 pic on screen and then screen goes grey and then lens goes back in.
I cant see anything on the screen, its a light grey colour, I can view the pics that are in the camera and card by pressing play button, slide show function also works.

I had the exact same problem. What I found out was that certain types of batteries have more power to power the camera and make sure the batteries are brand new because they might have been sitting in your cabinet or where ever and run out of power and not be able to open the lens or turn the power on, and the manual (disk) that came with the camera says not to take the batteries out if the camera's on and if your lens isn't opening properly it's because your batteries are low on power. Well I hope I helped. Bye.
Hi there its happens when the lens not ready for work. Some how its not able to stable his focus method. That's why its come out & go back. There is a chances of lens guide pin disturbed or damaged & thats why green light blinking continues. Its mean he inform you there is a system error. So please visit the service center for repair that. Thanks.
maybe this works: turn your camera on in play mode (if you have play button press it to turn on camera) and if your camera hase a shoot-play switch select play mode and then turn your camera on.)
repeat this until lens goes back.
I hope this works...
