Reboot and then shutdown Skype, Google Chat or other auto-starting programs which might access the
camera. See if you can start it manually then. If so there often are setting/properties to change the
orientation or flip. There should be a camera control program accessible from your Start Menu. If you
can't access the camera manually then check with Acer Support and their on-line documentation and
drivers.

Check with Acer Support - they might answer an email about how to start the camera without charge.

VIDEO CALLS

A video call is a call whereby the caller and the called can see each other on their respective devices. BUT, till now video calls were permitted only on 3G networks. And not all have 3G on their mobile phones. Or, not all phones are 3G compatible. You can still make a video call even if you do not have a 3G enabled phone or you do not subscribe to 3G network. How? Read on.
Fring and Skype have jointly come out with a new Fring social network whereby all Skype users using Fring on their phones can now make video calls over WiFI networks. Meaning, if I am a Skype user and accessing Skype through Fring on my phone then I can make a video call to any other Skype user (through Fring) if I have access to a WiFi network. Whether my phone is 3G network capable or not or whether I subscribe to 3G networks or not. Only requirement is a front camera on my phone.
Skype is an Instant Messenger that allows free skype to skype calls over the internet and can be downloaded free from www.skype.com.
Fring is a combination of Instant Messengers that provides you the facility of using most of the IMs with just one login into Fring. And some of the social networks as well. It can be downloaded free from www.fring.com.

Cannot get skype camera to come on on an existing account

I can't get my webcam to work

1. Check that your webcam is switched on and plugged into your computer

2. A webcam can only be used by one application at a time, so make sure you don't have any other applications open that are accessing the webcam, e.g. other instant messaging applications or even some websites.

3. Problems with video are often caused by driver issues. A driver is the program you install with the webcam which makes the webcam work with your computer (some webcams use preinstalled drivers so you may not have had to install one). Make sure you have the latest driver installed. You can download and install the most recent drivers from the webcam manufacturer's website.

To test your webcam go to the Skype menu > Preferences > Video and tick the box Enable Skype Video. When Skype is able to use your webcam, you will see a video preview of yourself.

Rules to Guess Who?

Select a red or blue game piece with the faces of all of the Guess Who? people. Your opponent will use the other game piece. Draw a card from the deck of face cards. Your opponent will do the same. The younger person will start by asking a question about their opponent's secret person on their face card. Ask questions that help you figure out who the mystery person is on your opponent's face card. Answer questions with either a "Yes" or a "No." For instance, your first question could be "Does your mystery person have hair?" Answer your opponent's question and then your opponent will eliminate people who do not fit the answer. If your question was, "Does your mystery person have hair?" and your opponent says no, you can eliminate all of the people on your game piece who have hair. Eliminate people with the answers received during each turn. Use your turn to either ask a question or guess the mystery person. Be sure to narrow your list before asking about a specific mystery person, otherwise, you lose the game.

Start > Program Files > Skype (right click on it)> Compatibility mode and now uncheck the box.

After performing this step, access your machine in safe mode and clean it using Reginout Cleaner.

Start normally, open your skype.

Go to www.filehippo.com and download Skype. Install it and setup up a Skype account. Assuming you (and they) have broadband Internet access, you can have voice and video communications with any family members who also have a Skype account and Skype installed on their PC for Free. I use Skype frequently and it has good voice, but slows down a bit when using the video; but then my DSL is not the fastest.

How do i get access to the webcam

if the web cam is bult into the laptop/pc it will have a program to use it, or it will start atomaticly on a program like skype or msn. If it is a web cam you plug in via usb port it will start up when you press video call on msn skype or eney program that uses web cames

Help?

You most likely have a NAT Type 2 or 3 you need to get it to NAT Type 1. If you are using a router contact them and try to open ports for the PS3. Also internet might not support NAT 1. Dial-up, DSL, and Satellite at best get NAT 2

In Skype tool settings check Geneal/ Video Settings - Does your webcam appear here?

In your webcam settings check associated programmes running the webcam.

Your webcam will only run through one programme at a time, it may be that your photo capture settngs are on the webcam - which won't allow skype to use the webcam.

1st You download Webcam Driver.
install my camera After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.
