Small writing on the tv screen - Emerson EWC27T3 27 in. TV/VCR/DVD Combo

do you mean the writing on the screen is small or the whole screen is small ?
if the writing is small then you have just zoomed out of focus , you can zoom in by pressing CTRL + and zoom out with CTRL - on windows , or by using the scroll button on a mac.

ifthe whole screen is small then your resolution has gone somehow , to fix this right click on the desktop and choose personalise or properties then click on screen settings or resolution depending on which version of windows you are running.

using the dropdown box in the middle of the screen choose a setting which suits you , im guessing it is on 800x600 now choose 1024x768 this should make it better.

If it hit the screen unit and the display panel is bad, it could show not not show a crack but be toast inside, the part would cost more than a new set.

It does not take much of a impact to cause damage to the display panel.

Unplug the TV. Replug in the TV. If it's still there, you probably have a bad panel. Try changing inputs. These panels are non-repairable.

You have just selected you component input, look about on the remote for a tv button or similar.

The screen needs to be replaced if it is cracked, usually it is not economical to repair, but it is worth getting a quote.

if you are watching cable or satelite, you need to change the screen format output from the source to make sure it matches with the TV

adjust vscan  vs & va voltages on power supply, if not that drive pcb's are bad

you likely need a new tv. on the insides the audio pieces are a lot tougher than the delicate pieces that create the picture for you. if it was dropped and something hit it and it cracked losing your picture, I am pretty sure the tv is toast.

Use the closed caption button on the remote.

WRITE IT OFF YOUR COST FOR THE SCREEN ALONE WILL PROBOBLY EXCEED THE COST OF THE TV
