I have 47" LG LCD TV (47LD450-AU) and when I try to turn it on the red LED just blinks slowly. So I took it apart to check the power supply panel (P/N: EAX61289601/12) and it seems fine, at least all the voltages coming out are what the board says they should be and the fuses are good. So what's the problem?

These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy.

Have an LG26Lx1D for about 3 years, dropped off by my son.(Figures).Power light just blinking, but went back to red.Removed back panel, and metal cover. Just above antenna/cable input, its a small fan, mine was full of dirt. Blow off dirt, and make sure its turning freely.
Install back the covers, an voila....its a miracle...its working again.

SOURCE: LG 47" LCD FLAT SCREEN

IF IT WASNT DIGITAL HD I WOULD HAVE SUSPECTED HIGH VOLTAGE POWER SUPPLY BUT THAT DOES NOT EXIST HERE.
Well, not completely true; the fluorescent backlight is still a high voltage device, even if only hundreds of volts instead of kilovolts, and either the lamp(s) or the power supply for it (them) is causing the dropout of your picture. When it does it next time, look at the screen from various angles, I think you will see that video content is still there.

Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. Have a LG 55ls5700 tv that doesn't turn on but the red standby comes on and when i press the power button it starts to blink

Does the screen quickly blink on and then off? Does the standby light slowly blink twice and then go out?If these are the symptoms then it is probably a bad led backlight strip. This was the fault with my lg 47ln540v led lcd tv.I have written this up in a previous post more comprehensively.Hope this helps..

How can I fix my 42' lg it is stuck in standby mode.

I had the same issue with my 47' LG. If it's under warranty just have someone look at it. Mine wasn't so I took off the back panel, checked the power supply for the correct voltages coming out, which were unfortunately were correct. Which only left the main PCB, which was more expensive than a new TV and could only be installed by a "technician." However, the blinks could be a fault code. Here's the link to my question. have 47 LG LCD TV 47LD450 AU and when try to turn it on the red LED...

I have a LG 47 ld 450 model and the last week it keeps turning off and the standby light starts blinking when its off why ?

It is going on a protection mode mostly due to moisture built in and the TV needs attention by a qualified service technician.
