Starts cycle but 1 hour into was cycle the dishwasher shuts off and loses power. It comes back on minutes later and have to push the start button to resume wash cycle. Dishwasher does not complete wash cycle. Repeats previous problem over and over again. I have to push drain after several incomplete runs for the dishwasher to drain. After it drains I have to rinse the dishes because the cycle did not complete. Which part do I replace to solve this problem?
Since the troubleshooting and repair process is too lengthy to include here, please go to the following link: http://www.appliance411.com/service/repairmanual.shtml
to open [or download] the service / repair manual. It is free.
Scroll about half way down the page, in the left column, under Maytag products, select the Maytag / Jenn Air / Jet Clean II "Tall Tub" Dishwasher repair manual... it covers your model dishwasher..
It includes a troubleshooting guide as well repairing instructions
Best wishes on your project.
SOURCE: Diswasher motor making noise during wash cycle
It could be the impeller on the motor. The impeller fits over the shaft of the motor and might have split/broken up. That funny noise is probably the shaft spinning inside the damage impeller. Fortunately the impeler is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe there are one or two parts/covers to remove that are held in by a roughly half dozen torx screws.

Problem is actually a water valve that is near the water inlet. Cost is about 35 bucks to fix unless you listen to the guy on here and pay for parts that you don't need and pay them 20bucks for bad advice. Our total cost to fix this $35 dollar problem was an entire wasted Sat, 2 trips to the appliance repair parts place, $130 for the electrical control board that the "wiz" here said I needed--electronic parts and non returnable so we now have a new one that we didn't need.

HI, this is a control fault. the logic chips are malfunctioning. these chips are responsible for initiating the proper washing cycle sequences. you will need to replace this damaged control board asap.
