If you have tried the Kodak standard instructions for clearing the paper jam problem and it did not help try the procedure below.
1. Open the printing area of the printer (containing the ink cartridges).
2. The Ink cartridge holder should be to right side of track.
3. Look on left side, below the track for the cartridge that is used to
clean the print heads. It can be identified by a square black pad
approx. 1" sqaure that appears to be made of "felt".
If it is visible this is most likely your problem.
4. To correct problem locate the flat latching lever approx. 3/4" wide that
sticks up about 1/2" above the cartridge. It is locacted just behind
the "felt" square. Gently push lever toward rear which should free the
cleaning cartridge and allow the entir cartridge to move slightly
backward.
5. Close the top of the printer and cycle the printer off and back on.
If this is the problem, the "paper jam" error will now be gone.
This is such a simple fix I do not know why kodak does not inform
customers of this problem and how to fix it.

There may be multiple reasons why you have a paper jam. To resolve your problem, here are the steps:

CAUTION: Place your KODAK All-in-One Printer on a flat, hardsurface that is free of debris to ensure proper operation. When addingpaper to the paper tray, debris or objects that are under the printercan enter the bottom opening and create obstructions in the paper path.
Manually clear the paper jam.

  1. Lift the output tray.
  2. Open the paper trays and remove any paper.
  3. Turn off your printer.
  4. Wait 30 seconds, then disconnect the following from the back of your printer:
    • USB cable
    • Ethernet cable
    • Fax cable
    • AC power cord
  5. Press down on the center latch to open the cover for the duplexer.
  6. Remove any paper from the inside of the duplexer.
  7. Close the cover for the duplexer.
  8. kodak esp 7 has a - esp7_back_duplexer_sidebuttons_300pxwide.jpg
  9. Press on the side detents, and remove the duplexer to access the cleanout area.
  10. CAUTION: Do not use force when removing the paper from your printer.
  11. Check inside the cleanout area for a paper jam. If necessary, remove any paper or debris.
  12. If paper is not visible, check your printer for foreign objects, such as paper clips or staples. If necessary, carefully remove theforeign objects from your printer.
  13. Install the duplexer.
  14. Open the printer access door.

    Close Window
  15. Remove any foreign objects from the printhead access area, then close the printer access door.
  16. Connect the following to the back of your printer:
    • USB cable
    • Ethernet cable
    • Fax cable
    • AC power cord
  17. Wait 30 seconds, then turn on your printer.
  18. Fan the stack of paper and load it into the paper tray.
  19. Squeeze and move the paper-width guide on the lower paper tray to the left.
  20. Load the paper into the paper trays.
  21. Squeeze and move the paper-width guide to the right until it touches the paper.
  22. Close the paper trays.
  23. Lower the output tray.
  24. Lift the small gray paper stop until it is perpendicular to the paper tray.

  25. Have a great day!

SOURCE: kodak easp 5 paper jam

Greetings Thurnwood,

Sorry to hear about your trouble.

First thing I would do is check the printer to be sure you have removed all packing tape, and that any supply space is clear. If there are more than one resource locations for paper, be sure you have them in their correct positions.

Unplug the printer from your computer, and turn off the power. Leave it off for a couple of minutes then turn it is on. Do not connect to the computer but insert some paper and try printing via the stand alone option. Make sure you have calibrated the printer and that the print head and ink are installed correctly.

If none of this works, please call our 800 421 6699 and our team will make sure you are printing in no time flat.

Good luck, I will be around to see how you make out.

Best Regards,

Ron Baird
the friendly Kodak guy

My kodak printer esp 3.2 is giving me an error code 3533 paper jam but there is no paper jammed and when i put new paper in it, it still wont print and keeps giving me the same error code 3533

Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the top access panel. Inside on the left you will see three round, white gears. Rotate the gear closest to the front back and forth with your finger. If any scraps of paper appear near the rollers, remove them. Close the top access panel. Plug in and start the printer. This worked for a Kodak ESP 3.2.

Paper jam

You are receiving this error message because there is a paper jam or the top (photo) tray is not securely in position and the printer cannot initialize. This error message can appear for an ESP 7, ESP 9, ESP 7250, or ESP 9250 all-in-one printer.
To resolve a paper jam, we have an easy Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair tool. Within the tool, select All-in-one printer, then Paper jam.

When you clear the paper jam:
  1. Make sure you open the paper output tray and inspect the top tray for photo paper that could be jammed inside or that remains in the nip at the entrance.
  2. Pull out the bottom paper tray and clear any paper jams.
  3. Remove the duplexer from the back of the printer and clear any paper jam.
NOTE: Curled photo paper could induce a paper jam. To prevent curling:
  • Store un-printed paper in a tightly closed plastic bag or in its original packaging.
  • Store sealed packages of paper flat, and not on
  • When you are ready to print, take only the paper intend to use immediately.
To remove curl in photo paper:
  1. Place the paper in a plastic bag or in its original packaging.
  2. Gently bend the paper in the opposite direction of the curl, then insert it into a tube-a paper towel tube works well.

NOTE: The tube should be larger than 1.5 in. (4 cm) in diameter.
  3. After a few minutes, remove the paper from the tube.
  4. Remove the paper from the plastic bag or packaging.
  5. Verify that the curl has been removed from the paper. Repeat the steps above if necessary.
If the top paper tray is not securely in position and the printer cannot initialize (you may hear a grinding noise, and the top paper tray will not open), contact Kodak.
