Question about Timex T600 Clock Radio

Open Question

Timex clock radio am/fm/cd ..... back light problem

The back light on the timex clock radio with the Indigo digital panel display has stopped working.  The intensity knob is not the problem.   Is this fixable or do I have to live with no back light for night time display?  It is visiable during the day.  Is there a bulb replacement or is the Indigo panel the problem?

The back-light is very dim, virtually non-existant. There is 60 VAC coming from the oscillator to drive the back light panel. Is this normal or should it be higher? The intensity adjustment does work, but very little since there is no light to start with. The intensity control will vary the voltage out of the oscillator between 60VAC and 0VAC.

I have insured the contacts going to the light assembly are good and the light does light a little.

    Any Suggestions?

Our backlight is green and is very dim. We can't see the time at night. Adjustment is as bright as possible. We were at a Marriott and they have a VERY bright Amber backlight and it is TERRIFIC. Anyone have a suggestion to get this fixed?

Indigo light is not working properly, battery needed?

Timex suggests that you have a watch repair person change your watch batteries. I think it would be a good idea to try and replace the battery, but if that fails to work, contact Timex for advice. If they suggest that you should replace the entire wath, keep the battery. I have no guarantee that any of that would work, though.

Blue LED display too bright

TRY........with radio on and set on "AM", hold "Clock" button about 7 seconds and let up - bringing a setup menu. Using tuning knob, scroll to "Hardware". Press tuning knob in, bringing up contrast menu. Press tuning knob in, bringing up "contrast level". Turn tuning knob counter-clockwise to "00". Brightness, dimming level should be "170". Turn radio off to exit, then adjust "Dim" button to your liking.

Back lighting

Funny, I've got one I've just stopped using because the backlight is too bright, even set at its lowest.

Maybe we could trade ;-)

Is your's out completely, or just very dim?

Timex t439s clock display light out

The display on my clock is red as well. I found it that way when I came home from work today. It had lost all of its settings as well. I put everything back to the way it was supposed to be but I can't get the color to change. I guess something just quit.
