Screen prob. i have a new comp. ACER and i tryed to use dell E172FP screen to it but the screen doesn't work. it's just go to stanby when i start up the comp.

That monitor does not have speakers included. You will need to get a set of stereo speaker for your computer.

Native/max resolution for this Dell is 1280x1024, try this setting.

Double check your VGA cables, make sure they're in all the way/it's not a faulty cord. I made that mistake one time.

check the power if 110 volt or 220 volt

disconnect the monitor from the back of the system and see if u see the colour scheme or anything if u do see something that means monitor fine ... problem with system

Hi , its very simple. it will work , but you need to be patient enough. It may take few hours but it will. First of all answer one thing ? did you fiddle with your comp parts, ex Ram or Hard disc or charger. if yes. Do the following. Take out the power , remove the battery, take out the Ram ( if you have two slots for ram , change the slot for one and remove other ram) . Now , press and hold the power button for 30 sec or so, connect the power and release the power button. once it starts connect the battery later on. IF you fail , do all the steps again again till it starts. Believe me it will work , I had same prob, I made a research on this , my comp is back from death. Since then its one year, no prob. You need to believe me and yourself. It will 100% start , you try for a hour or so and leave it , try again after some time or next day. It took for my research and fo my comp rebirth , nearly 15 days. But its back and 100%. I try to fiddle again with ram one day , its gone , but already I knew how to bring it back and I did it in first attempt. Once it starts , its better to reload the windows. Each time you remove the ram ( use only one ram if you have two) change the positions and remember them. You will , and you will. but remember everything I wrote. thanks.

I need help monitor went blank and when I try to turn it back on it only blinks at the power button. took it apart and everything looks ok.

That sounds like the backlight inverter board. Check ebay for the board or a repair kit for it.
