If the print-out is an 'alien-like' one, the problem is on the sensor of the printer. The sensor is on the opposite side of the gears. Under the black cover.

@ rollers that feed paper. One on top is Black and the bottom one is White. If they are working propperly you should be able to roll one manualy with your finger and see that both are turning, if one turns and the other does not then you have a bent or distorted paper feed guide. This is proplem that happens when people try to get some JAMBED paper scrap out and bend the thin paper feed guide. The solution is to set it one fire......just kidding. You should tweek any of the openings around the 2 paper feed rollers and make shure the guide opening by the BLACK roller is bent up sufficiantly that it does not catch the paper.

If you press feed with no paper installed can you see feed roller turning?

Is the paper path clear no bends or paper fragments in the path?

Is the paper coming off the bottom of the roll into printer or off the top?

If your calc is constantly/ never feeding/moving then it is paper feed roller, paper feed roller drive mechanism or paper path obstruction or even incorrect size paper.

Do you have a Brand/model No.

MY FR-2650A always PaperJam...Cannot feed the paper

Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:
  1. Check the paper: Make sure you're using the correct type of paper for your calculator. The FR-2650A requires 2 1/4 inch (57mm) wide plain paper rolls. If the paper is too thick or too thin, it can cause jams.
  2. Remove any jammed paper: Turn off the calculator and remove the paper roll. Gently remove any jammed paper from the paper feeding mechanism. Make sure to remove any torn pieces of paper or debris.
  3. Clean the paper feed mechanism: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the paper feed mechanism. Dust and debris can accumulate in the mechanism, causing paper jams.
  4. Check the paper feed roller: Use a cotton swab or soft, damp cloth to clean the paper feed roller. Make sure it's free of debris or dust.
  5. Replace the paper roll: Make sure the paper roll is properly installed. The paper should unroll from the bottom of the roll towards the front of the calculator. The paper should be flush against the paper feed roller.
  6. Test the calculator: Turn on the calculator and test it by printing a few lines. If the paper still jams, try a new paper roll.
If none of these steps work, there may be a mechanical issue with the calculator. In this case, it's best to contact the manufacturer or a professional repair service for assistance.

My printer is leaving an imprint of the previous page on each new sheet on shiny label material I have been using this for a couple years for this job with this same material. This is a new problem.

There are couple possible problems here.
1. If you are reusing sheets of labels, the toner that is being printed on spots where labels are already removed will get picked up by the fuser and redeposited on the page.
2. The fuser is wearing out and toner is sticking to it and getting redeposited.
3. If you are not setting the paper type to labels, the wrong fuser temperature will be used which can cause this problem.

Keep in mind that life ratings for items like fusers are based on the following assumptions:

1. You only print on plain paper
2. Every print job consists of at least five pages.

Under these assumptions the life of a fuser in a 1215 is probably around 100K pages. Printing all single page jobs or difficult media like labels can drop that life expectancy to under 30K pages.

If you print a usage page for the printer it will show how many pages you have printed.

Error J1

Hello Sharon,

When a document jam occurs, "J" and "1" will display alternately on the function number display panel of the scanner. Please perform the following:
  1. Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute.
  2. Open the ADF while pressing down the ADF open lever. If you are using fi-6130 with the imprinter option attached, please open the imprinter and then open the ADF.
  3. Remove the jammed papers from the ADF.
  4. Close the ADF pushing the center part of the ADF carefully.

If document jams occur frequently, please check the followings:

1. Do the documents satisfy paper specification?

2. Have the documents been jogged?

• Align the edge of documents for stable paper feeding.

• Remove documents with crease or dog-ear.

• Scanning different width of documents may cause skew and result in paper jam.

3. Are Chuter Unit (ADF paper chute),Guide P ASSY (Sheet guide), Feed roller cover (plate guide) and Brake roller cover installed correctly?

4. Clean the Feed rollers, Eject rollers,Plastic rollers, glass surface and paper feeding surface, and see if the error is

resolved.

5. Replace Pick roller or Brake roller, and see if the error is resolved.Check the consumable counter from the TWAIN driver screen or from the built-in Maintenance mode. When the counter exceeds the values, replace Pick roller or Brake roller.
6. If the issue still persists, then you are recommended to contact the nearest Fujitsu service center for further assistance.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Thanks & regards,

Roller

If nothing happens no carrier movementor paper feed you probably have a bad keyboard.
If the carrier moves but no feed the index motot may need to be lubed.
If the roll moves but the paper dosen't you may have debris on the paper tray or bad lower fed rolls.

Just want to get a new roll of paper to feed in

Simply press down on the spring loaded button above the F1 key on the right side of the unit, next to where the paper feeds out of its slot - you may see the symbol of a roll of paper and a right arrow. Then after you open the new roll of paper, just place it into the cavity with the end of the roll coming out from underneath the roll itself, towards the serrated cutting blade, leaving a small amount of paper (2-3") sticking out of the top of unit. Now close the lid until you hear it click closed, and the button you pressed to begin with has returned to its 'up' position. Your paper is loaded and you may resume normal operations.

I can't get my printer to print. The error

It says paper jam because the paper bar (located just before the paper exit) can't (or does it very badly) roll. It can be caused by a lot of things that have fallen inside the printer. Open it and try to see what's blocking the bar

Cannot load new paper roll into the calculator so it catches

Replacing the paper roll involves feeding the evenly cut, uniform end of the roll through the fine slot located under the paper arm at the back of the calculator. (Even if the paper is only slightly wrinkled or cut unevenly, it will not feed through the teeth in the loading area.)
When getting ready to feed the paper into the calculator, envision your printout feeding out of the machine away from you and back toward the paper roll. Don't insert it upside down.
To get the paper feeding through once you have partially fed it into the teeth, gently tap the paper feed button. Once or twice should do it. (The button is located on the far top left of the control panel, indicated by an arrow jagged saw mark icon).
Then, slide the paper roll onto the feeder arm and you're in business.
