Adjusting the angle of the contact point on a Mitutoyo 513-402

I have recently bought a Mitutoyo 513-402 (lever not plunger) dial indicator. How do I change the angle of the contact point?

By simply pushing it (the contact point), it may be stiff to start but should ease up over time. Remember if your doing precision work (0.001mm or seconds of a degree) changing this original position will affect your reading so refer to booklet within original packaging or visit mitutoyo website's (Japan, USA, UK) between them they have most instructions available it's just a question of finding it, Good Luck.

Mitutoyo 543-256 linear error of 0.028mm over full 12mm stroke. Repeatability is perfect, mechanically is perfect. Is there a re-calibration procedure?

Ensure your testing procedure is perfect. If your testing procedure is proven, then you will need to send it for repair. At that point, either your scale or grid assembly is damaged or requires adjusting.

How do you rezero a 505-637 mitutoyo dial caliper

Fully close the caliper. The pointer should be pointing about straight up or close to it. Losen the knurled screw which is located on the circumference near the bottom. Now grab the dial and turn until the zero lines up with the needle. Re-tighten the knurled screw.

This is my first Leupold scope, I don't understand the friction adjustments 1/2 MOA dials, I need to adjust 3 inches up and 1and 1/2 to the right, I have moved the dials in the direction indicated to no...

minute of angle is not the same as 1/4" per click at 100 yards. if it doesn't click something is wrong. i would call leupold and probably try to get a replacement from where you bought it. moa is an angle value not an inch value.

How do I change the battery in my Mitutoyo digital?

The battery compartment is on the front of the instrument. The cover is round and has some symbols that resemble arrows pointing down. Slide the round cover down to access the battery.
