Question about Aiwa F2000 20" TV

1 Answer

TV is making loud whistling noise

Where my input connections are on the back when I put pressure on them the whistling stops. When I take my hand off them though, the whistling starts right back up again. What is causing this high pitch whistling noise, and how can I get it to stop? My TV was bought brand new in 2005 and it's worked fine with no problems until now. I don't have the money to get it repaired. The one repair place I know of in town often charges as much as it would cost for a new TV of the same size and spec, and I just don't have the money. Any realistic suggestions?

I've switched the cables around and the whistling still persists. I think it may be a flyback problem. I'm really hoping it isn't, because if it is, I'll most likey have to get a new TV set, and right now that means I'll be without a TV for quite a while.

If you have a spare cable set, try using this in place of the existing one. Is it only one of your inputs that is doing this? If you have 2 inputs that are connected, first try switching the cables. If this doesn't fix it then it is either a problem with the tv or the input device. If the problem moves to the other input then you need to replace the cable. If switching cables doesn't work, switch to a different input. If this fixes the problem then there is an issue with the input on your tv. If neither of these fixes the problem then it is most likely a problem with your device.
Most likely there will be a problem with your cable connecting the device to the tv or with the connection between the cable and the input. If you think that it is a problem with the tv (ie. the female input socket) then I suggest getting it repaired (expensive I know) or you might be able to get a friend who is good with electronics to take a look at the connection.

Samsung refrigerator loud noise

if the fan is still running when you open the door , the I would be leaving that idea as a last resort
try this
get 2 taper door chocks and put one either side at the back of the fridge
push the cabinet sideways and slip one chock in a bit then do the other side
many noises are from the bottom plate that the compressor is mounted on from tapping on the floor and lifting it a bit stops the noise
the same as when you open the door the pressure on that plate is removed and so it stops hitting the floor

Engine is whistling loudly, and stops if i remove

I would have the converter checked for back pressure. if it is plugged it can cause excessive Engine pressure. if it is not plugged then you have excessive blow by or a malfunctioning PCV system it sounds like.
