Are you doing this wirelessly or with a wire (Ethernet cable).?
Do the setup with an ethernet cable first, then try wireless after setting it up.

Have you tried to reset router. It has to be done in order.
1. unplug router
2. unplug modem
3. shut down computer and restart after waiting 1 min
4. after restarting computer plug power back into modem and wait for all the lights to start blinking
5. after the modem is working plug power back to router and plug in the computer with ethernet cable and make sure you have internet,
6. try to link up with wireless,
If this does not work you will have to setup the router for wireless if it is att wireless you will have to call them to give you the password to set it up.

Unable to access the Internet and the Internet Provider Talk Talk expressed the view that the wireless on the Laptop is faulty. What do I need to do?

try to connect your laptop in your router via lan cable..use your lancard..use a utp cable.. if it does not work it mean you have a problem in your internet connection not on your laptop..but if it connects it means you have a problem in your wi-fi connection...

i hope it solves your problem....rate this if this solved it,..

My laptop will not connect to my wireless connection

Hi,
To turn the wireless radio on and off, press FN + F2, if it still won't connect the adapter will probably need hard resetting.
This method will hard reset the wireless drivers back to default settings, but before you perform this remove power from the modem and router for 2 minutes reconnect power and wait another 2 minutes for them to settle down.

Right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", a list will populate, then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the wireless adapter and "uninstall" the device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again.

Good luck

HI. you have to check first what kid of modem u have.. im sure if the laptop is connected directly to the modem, u have a wired connection and u can connect to the internet.. if ur modem is a cable modem, u need to mac clone the mac address of the computer that can connect to the internet. u need to connect the computer that can connect to the internet to the router and do a mac clone and the internet connection settings is dhcp..if u are using a username and password to connect to the internet, u need to use the pppoe settings on the router, and if ur isp give u a static ip address, u need to set the router on static ip. how u can check the ip address, click on start, run and type cmd and it will show a dos prompt, type ipconfig/all and it will list the ip address, subnetmask, default gateway and dns server.. u need to setup the router first in order to talk to ur modem..

Connectivity problem

it is still trying to connect via your modem, go to control panel>network connection, and you will see your modem dialup connection, right click and select dissable if required.

next open up internet explorer, go to tools>internet options, then click on connections tab, then half way down select 'never dial a connection'.

Click apply>ok, then close internet explorer, open it up again and wait a few seconds and it will connect via your router(asuming that it is correctly set up).

If no page appears then click refresh a few times.

Router won't log into it's IP address online

It appears to me that you have everything plugged into the desktop PC. This is not the way that it should be done. Plug the cable modem into the wireless router via the Internet/WAN port. Plug your desktop PC into one of the ports numbered 1-4. Now connect to the router via the wireless connection for the router and you should be able to now connect to the internet with your laptop.
If it still does not work, power down everything in this order: Laptop, Desktop, Router, Cable Modem. Bring everthing up in the reverse order (Cable Modem, Router, Desktop, Laptop) waiting for each device to stablize before moving to the next.
Once you get everything working, turn on your wireless security (WPA not WEP) asap to keep your computers and surfing safe, and to keep intruders off your network.

Zyxel p660hw and g202 problem

I had an almost identical problem and contacted Tech support at Zyxel. They were excellent and the guy talked me through to a solution. The main issue related to 'Bandwith management' which defaults to active on the router configuration. Unset all three (Wan, Lan, Wlan) and see if it sorts out problem. Because of some other issues I did have to reset the router to start with and on the wireless client I unset 'Obtain IP address automatically' and used an IP address with the default gateway set to the router address. If this does not help, I would recommend talking to Zyxel Tech Support, the consultant I spoke to was brilliant.
