Dryer wont heat

The dryer won't heat. We already checked the power supply, the gas supply, and cleaned out the filter. The check filter light is still flashing as well

Sounds like your heating element has went out. So you will either have to replace it $100 to $150 or purchase a new one

I had the same problem. Redistributing the clothes inside the machine seems to do the trick. Even though the clothes seemed evenly distributed and I had far less than maximum capacity in the machine- it seemed to think that something was out of sync- simply moving the clothes around did the trick!

SOURCE: Lg dryer check filter light wont stop blinking and the dryer wont work

You may have a clogged vent line.
Which will cause the check filter light to go on sometimes.
If the air is not getting out the vent and is blocked the sensor thinks the filter is clogged.
And you will not get heat either.
Check that the flexible vent line behind the dryer is not kinked or crushed.
A simple way to check if the vent line leading out from the dryer to the out side of the house is clogged is to remove the vent line from the rear of the dryer.
If the dryer gets hot when the vent line is removed, then the clog is between there and the outside vent door.
sometimes the little door outside the house gets stuck closed due to lint build up.
Or anything can be in the vent going into wall too.

The Gas Dryer no longer appears to have gas supply although the supply pipe is still attached to the unit. When you switch the dryer on, the drum turns as normal but the gas supply does not ignite and...

The first thing I would do is see if power is getting to the gas assembly. If I could not get any power going to the assembly I would check the duct fuse to see if it has continuity. If it was good I would check the control thermostat for continuity. If I am getting power to the gas assembly I check the flame sensor, if it is open then the ignitor won't glow and you will have no heat. If the sensor is good I would check the ignitor , if open you would have no heat. If that dryer works a little bit but then stops heating then that is a sign of old weak solenoids.

If that duct fuse is blown clean out the blower housing

Light flashing says check filter. Dryer wont heat up? What filter and where is it located

The filter screen check light is just a reminder indicator. It will always come on whenever you turn on the power. As for the heat, you didn't state whether it's electric or gas.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

Your power for the burner assy goes on a series circuit from the timer to the high-limit thermostat to the operating thermostat to the thermal fuse to the gas burner assy, thru the motor centrifugal switch to the door switch. EACH of these must be functioning for the burner to light.

This manual will help with some of the how to do it as far as component access, removal and replacement of parts.

Dryer wont heat and check filter light is on but filter in dryer is clean?

This could be caused by a venting restriction. These dryers have sensors built in to check airflow temp differences. Take the vent off the dryer and run it and see if it heats. If it does then you know the problem is with your venting. You will need to either clear the vent or replace it.

Hope this helps _MJ_
