My HP printer spits out a blank page before printing document

My Photosmart 8250 spits out a blank sheet of paper before printing requested job.

What application are you using?

It sounds as if the printer is being told to clear the printer's receive buffer either as part of the preceding print job or part of the following print job.

Can you do a Print to File and attach the file to this question so I can take a look at the commands being sen to the printer?

I had same problem with hp psc 2410 all-in-one. Finally ran "HP all-in-one Series Web Release Uninstaller version: 4.1.1.00.1332 (3/20/2007) that I had downloaded several years ago. Then plug and play took over and installed the correct driver that Vista kept insisting I already had.

HP Photosmart 8250 ejects blank page at beginning of print job

I know your model is the 8250, but if you follow this video it should give you same desired result. When you go to chose the printer it should be the 8200 series and same for the driver. Hope this helped!

Paper mismatch paper size to small choose a large size

There is a workaround for this problem by tricking the printer.
The paper sensor, on my printer model hp4500 seems to only sense the paper at the beggining of the print job.
What I did to trick the printer to print on odd size paper is slide the paper adjuster to 8.5 and put a regular white sheet in. Then put your odd size paper under it. When you print your document set the number of copies to 2 and print. The printer is going to sense that the paper is correct, and start the job.
Here is the tricky part... once the first 8.5x11 sheet is almost all the way through quickly slide the paper adjuster over to match the size of your odd width paper. The printer should pick up the odd paper and print the second copy. Fool you printa! You should be able to do batches of odd paper size under the first 8.5X11. I hope this helps.

HP LaserJet 3550 spits out blank paper when job sent from computer but prints fine when printing directly from printer

Try connecting the printer via the USB port on either one of the computers. Then test if the machine prints fine then likely possibility is that the Network interface card is faulty remove the network card and install in a different slot and test. If the same thing happens then reinstall the drivers and test.
