SOURCE: TV does not recognize PS2 input

On the TV you should have a video, input or mode button. If you press that button while the PS2 is on it should pickup the signal. You need to be in video mode instead of cable mode since you are using the red, yellow, white cables. Many TVs have a few video modes so press it wait a few seconds and try again if it does not work. Hope this helps:)

SOURCE: Can't find the input/video channel for my Emerson TV

universal remotes are tricky, if you have the pamphlet, often times there are several codes for each brand. you have to try all the emerson codes for your universal even tho the power, volume and channel functions may work with several emerson codes, some of these specialized buttons (like input) may only work on your TV with one specific code.

also, if there are any unlabeled buttons on the universal try them with each new emerson code.

SOURCE: lost remote control for an emerson tv. how do you

I just purchased one of these televisions and it didn't come with a remote. However, a Philips Universal Remote (SRU2103/27)
with a code 0520 works fine. I haven't explored all the codes but I can easily change from tv stations to Video 1 and Video 2 merely by pressing the "Input" button on the remote.

Why doesn't my Emerson lf501em4f not recognize cable box HDMI?

Several things may be happening. Most likely, you need to adjust settings on the cable box for HDMI output rather than component or composite RCA. The same may be true for the TV. Did you check your input source setting on the TV? Also, go into the Video Settings menu and see if the TV asks for types of cable input for video, and audio settings for audio input from the HDMI.

I have a denon avr-1611 and can get sound playback through my connected speakers (not tv speakers) but no video output from hdmi. I have the receiver connected to a samsung tv. Is there any fix for th

You should check your Denon manual to be sure that the receiver has been set up correctly. My 1913 has many set up options including associating a particular HDMI out connection with a particular source like CBL/SAT or DVD. The fact that you hear sound indicates the HDMI cable connecting the cable box or DVD player to the receiver is working ( at least the sound portion of the HDMI in cable.)

Next, is the HDMI connection you are using to the TV the one selected in the source listing on the TV ? The sound and video circuitry on a receiver are separated and you can hear sound but see no video if the TV isn't selecting the correct source. For example if the TV is set to HDMI1 but you are plugged into HDMI 2. If this doesn't solve your problem try this:

At this point you don't know if the problem is the receiver HDMI connections or TV HDMI connections or a bad HDMI cable. The first thing to try is a new HDMI Cable. If that doesn't solve the problem then do the following.

If the TV has more than one HDMI connection try another HDMI port. Be sure to switch the source on the TV to the new HDMI port ie. HDMI1,HDMI2 or whatever.

If this fixes the problem you are done. If not then Try the same thing with the HDMI out ports on the receiver. Try each one not forgetting to set the receiver to use the HDMI port you are testing.
each time.

Since this can get confusing I would write down what you are testing each time so you don't get lost or confused.

If none of this works then you can try hooking up another TV to the HDMI cable, if you have one. If you do this and you still have a problem it points to the receiver as being the culprit.

The most likely problem is you have misconfigured the system so that is where I started. Each test is dependent on the fact that your system is correctly configured to begin with.

I hooked up my hdmi cable to my x box and in to my emerson tv put it on hdmi 1 and terned both on and it dident work what do i do???

Well verify you have it plugged into HDMI1 by switching to a different HDMI input on your tv. If this still doesnt work, like with PS3 you have to set it up to work HDMI if you had regullar RCA cables hooked up it isnt relaying information to the HDMI cables my suggestion as well make sure you have it sat up in your system to go to the hdmi,. If you were playing before on RCA or Composite cables go ahead and turn it to that channel or input section, turn your Xbox on, go through the settings and have Image output to HDMI..
