Eject the tape on Hitachi VT-FX695. It stays on for about 45 seconds and will not eject and then powers off.

hi,
the door mechanism is may be gripped because of a small kick...
did you try to open the door with a full charged battery and with the wall plug connected too ? help it with a toothpick or the corner of a credit card...
if this doesn't work, it may be the motor that is dead, do you ear any little noise when asking the ejection ? if yes, it is the mechanic, if not, it is the motor or the motor driver that is dead.
cheers,
mich

VCR immediately ejects tape or draws it in and starts to eat it.

All pinch rollers and heads need to be cleaned! They probably got sticky from not being used.

My msntv2 won't power up. A green screen comes up and says refer to error code #131.

I got the same problem a few days ago error#131 on my msntv2 unit. Tech support at msn said to start with the power on ---then push and hold (alt) and push power and release both at the same time and the power should shut off.--- Then push and release Power and Immediately push and hold down (alt.)---Then a Orange light should come on---Then release the (alt) key--- then enter 5532 5532. If that does'nt work then try starting with the power off---Then push the OK button 3 times then push 5532 5532. Mine didnt work so I dont know what happens after that. Good luck

I lost the manual I need instructions to program it

Hi,
Manual Programming:

1. Turn on the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Locate a 3-digit code for your device.

3. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) for approximately three seconds unitl the POWER INDICATOR illuminates.

4. Enter the 3-digit code for your device within 30 seconds. The POWER INDICATOR shuts off.

5. Press power button to verify correct code entry. If the device shuts off, the code was entered correctly. If the device does not shut off, repeat steps 3-4, using a different code.

Automatic Programming

With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until the POWER INDICATOR illuminates. The remote control is in programming mode.

3.Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on
indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

3. Press CHANNEL UP or CHANNEL DOWN repeatedly until the device turns on.

4. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

5. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

Thank You

Sharp vt 2128m

You didn't say whether the unit was shutting down. Usually when there is a fault in the VCR the TV shuts down to protect the unit. Your unit has a fault in the tape system. It has a bad sensor or something in it which is triggering a fault. Sometimes kids put things in the slot and cause this kind of problem. Using a flashlight look into the slot and see if there is an obstruction. If there is try to get it out. If you are capable and understand TV safety, unplug the set and remove the back to look for any foreign objects in the set. If there are no foreign objects you will probably have to have the set looked at by a shop if you want the VCR to work. If you have composite video and audio inputs on the unit you can hook up an external DVD player with an RCA patch cable. Hook the same colors together on each unit. Yellow for video, red and white for audio. You will have to select the input through the menu. Good luck.
