Canon Pixma mp780 printer will not print colors

I cannot get my Canon Pixma mp780 to print colors. I have Cleaned the print nozzles. I have Deep Cleaned the print nozzels, I have made sure no boxes are checked that would allow for only black and white printing under printing preferences, I have turned off the printer and removed the ink cartridges and then turned on the printer and replaced them, I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them again. What next? Please Help!!!

I use only canon Ink. One point it was working fine and then all of a sudden ALL the colors would not print.

Canon pixma ip 1500. Will not print black ink. Have cleaned, and deep cleaned nozzles. Color prints good, black does not print at all.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

How do i remove and clean the printhead from a canon pixma mp780?

Hi there. i understand that you want to clean the printhead of your canon pixma mp780, dont worry im here to help you out with this.
do this following steps in order for you to clean the printhead. If the printed Nozzle Check Pattern is broken, missing, or a specific color is not printed, clean the print head.
  1. Press the <Menu> button on the printers operation panel repeatedly until [MAINTENANCE] appears in the LCD.

  2. Press the left [<] or right [>] arrow buttons to select the cleaning setting you want. Select [HEAD CLEANING] or [HEAD REFRESHING] for deep print head cleaning.

Take Note: [HEAD REFRESHING] uses more ink than [HEAD CLEANING], so perform [HEAD REFRESHING] only when necessary ok?

  3. Press the <OK> button.

  4. Print a Nozzle Check Pattern and perform at least two Head Refreshings if the pattern is not correct.
hope that this steps helped you a lot in cleaning the printhead of your printer.Good Luck!

Canon 5750 Won't print the color, although it's set to do that, and cartridges all have ink in it. I deep cleaned and also ran a nozzle check ... but don't know how to interpret that. A = 0 B = -1 C =...

Hi Sue, first tell the exact printer model, because MF5750 is laser printer B&W, lbp5700 is also laser and doesnt have ink.
Wich ink printer do you have like pixma 5300? pixma 4300?
The 5750 doesnt exist in canon range of printers.

But, by your description you have print head problems or clodged inks or purge unit problems.

My canon PIMXA MP780 is not printing from the large Black

The black is the first to wear out on these printheads, you will need a new printhead, QY6-0049-000.
You will only waste inks trying to clean or deep clean, the best bet is to replace the printhead and if all else is ok you will get many more trouble free prints and better quality color prints.

Printer colors cause green/yellow heavy tint to pictures.

Alcohol was not good to clean cartridge nozzle. I recommend to use cartridge cleaner and deep cleaning after that

Canon pixma mp780

Try uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers.

Is the error light flashing?

From the printer utility can you print a nozzle check sheet or align the printhead?

Does it seem to be printing (feeding sheet and moving printhead) or nothing happening at all?

Try removing all the tanks, take out the head. If blocked try cleaning manualy by running warm water over the ink ports/printhead jets - dry off and reinstall.
