Our TV worked fine, and now it won't turn on, it just flashes a small red light on the power, if I hold the power in, it shuts off (the light) push power and light starts flashing, it's like it's in a sleep mode. But it won't turn on at all.

You can try finding the code by doing a power scan as follows to see if one not associated with your tv will work: With the TV on press and hold the TV button on the top left of the remote until all buttons light up across the top. Now preess the small red tv button-the topTV button on the left of the remote should stay lit. Now press the channel up button slowly until the tv shuts off. If it does press the channel down button and then the channel up button. The tv should now turn on. If it has press the pound sign and release. The tv button will flash three times. Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected
