Open the fuse panel and remove each fuse while the radio is playing. The ignition key is in "ACC on" to ascertain which fuse connects to the T_Pilot. Make a note when you've identified which fuse is the T-Pilot's circuit. Replace each to original position after 30 seconds. By removing the fuse, you disconnected all power to the Travel Pilot. When you replaced the fuse, there will be a delay as the Travel Pilot reboots itself, maybe 2 to 5 minutes. If its fully functional again, then it was a software glitch Ford deliberately programmed to psyche you into trading-in your old Ford and upgrading to a newer model.

SOURCE: 2000 ford focus rear driving lights

Had this problem myself. Try replacing your brake light switch, they are not real expensive and can be changed in a matter of mineuts. It is located by following your brake pedal all the way up to the top, when you get there , there id a switch that when you push down on the brake it releases the button to put you brake lights on and when you take your foot off the brake itallows the switch to go back.

SOURCE: hello, i have a ford focus

Well, if you have access to a multimeter, you can unhook the switch and check resistance across it or you can leave it in the system and verify voltage is making it to the pump. This will tell you if it is the switch or the pump. The other option is to guess and replace one of them and hope you are right. If the rear screenwash is powered through the same button, then the problem is definately the pump. There may also be a relay in the system, which could also be the culprit. Your best bet is to find a wiring diagram (check out the Haynes manual from your local auto parts store) and see what is in the circuit, then trace voltage to the first component that no longer has voltage, and there is your problem. Remember, no voltage will pass the switch unless it is closed.

SOURCE: rear speakers stopped working

my speakers went out front and rear i was told by an audio tech. that the systems that chevrolet put in them each speaker has its own amp to bust the sound the only way to fix it is to replace them.
if you have a warranty chevrolet will replace them otherwise find a junk yard or new system. i ordered a set of used speakers off ebay havent installed yet.

Try another loudspeaker across a rear speaker to check if it is a wiring issue first.

"2000 Buick Park Ave. rear speakers on deck lid stopped working nine speaker system all others work

First, check the fader on the stereo, then, check the wiring from the stereo to the amp and from the amp to the rear speakers. The amp controls all speakers, not just the rear so it seems that it is still working therefore the fuses must be good. If you have access to any other speakers, I would try plugging one in in place of one of the rear speakers and seeing if it works then you'll know if it's just the speaker or not.

is it hacked?, do you see evidence of hacking at amp or speakers?
did you try adjusting left right , front rear fader knobs yet>
if all looks ok then the head end needs service.

that proves what side is bad.
or while on car, connect a known good speaker to each output that is dead, work now, yes, bad speaker or line.

In my 1998 vt Holden commodore, the back speakers stopped working and I thought I just needed to replace them, however the new speakers weren't working as well so I think that it might be the wiring o

If both rear speakers failed at the same time then do the following:

1) Check that the fader control on the stereo is set to power the rear speakers.

2) Check continuity of the wires to the rear by disconnecting the head unit (stereo) and testing with a multimeter.

My best guess is that the head unit is either set incorrectly or that it's output to the rear speakers has failed. It's uncommon for both rear speakers to fail at the same time, so the stereo unit is most likely at fault.

My rear passenger speaker wires don't work, I have connected 3 different speakers to them none of them work but those 3 speakers work when they are hooked up to different connections.

have you tried connecting directly to the radio? I would suspect a broken wire or a bad fader control or switch depending on the model.

Rear stereo speakers dont work

make sure your fader is not all the way to the front.
speaker life in a vehicle can depend on climate.
the speaker, the wire, or the unit are the possible sources of fault.
