Make sure the scan software is already installed in the computer. If not installed yet, insert the installation cd in your computer to install the software. Here's the link to download the User's Guide for the Lexmark X5070 printer for instructions on how to scan. For Windows ( http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/5000/v5209661_en.pdf ). For Macintosh ( http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/5000/v3490872_en.pdf ). Hope this helps. But if you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks!
Hi. The fax driver for most of Lexmark printers are usually found only in the installation cd that came with your printer. Just run the installation cd in your computer and make sure to include the fax software/driver. Good luck!
Yes please visit lexmark.com and goto support section and download the up-to-date software for your make and model and just install it. After that and rebooting your pc you should be fine unless your printer itself has an issue.

Could have a corrupt driver. Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
