Might be a problem with battery of phone so try by changing battery or consult ur service  provider abt. network signals at a particular time or try by inserting stylus lightly at the hole at bottom corner of ur handset .

Do i disconnect the red negative or black positive battery cable first when i am changing my 04 cooper battery?

Always disconnect negative first. Also, when you're putting them back on, connect negative last.

It appears it has something to do with the flash continuely trying to operate. When charging (Red LED blinking in quick succession) the flash can be conitnuely seen to be operating.

O2 XDA Mini S Smartphone Problem

I had the same issue. The XDA is fully unlocked, the problem is that the phone has never been one which Orange have acquired the correct settings for, they never sold it (to the best of my knowledge). When I had mine unlocked and tried to use it on Orange it would not send or receieve any txt messages. Orange were rubbish and O2 point blank refused to help.
I just bought another phone and binned it.
