Question about Lenovo ThinkPad R51

RM upgradation I want to upgrade the RAM of my IBM Thinkpad (R51 - Type 2888). Presently it is 256 MB. Can I enhance the memory to 2GB?

My R-51 only has 1 ram slot. Hope yours has 2!

How can I upgrade memory from 256MB?

Check any free memory slots available in the laptop and upgrade the same.

    Upgredation of ram

    Here are info about that:

    IBM THINKPAD R52
    Memory:
    2 SODIMM 200-PINS Sockets
    Supports DDR2 400/533 Unbuffered Non-ECC Memory
    Supports maximum memory capacity up to 2GB

    I recomend you to change both of them

    My borther has a 390x ibm thinkpad 2626 and he is looking for a upgraded processor

    Current processor should be a Pentium III 450 MHz.
    As far as I know, the standard RAM os 64 MB and maximum RAM is 512 MB. Even a memory upgrade will cost you around 80$.

    I would honestly suggest to forget a processor upgrade because it will cost you a lot of money. Probably more than a new laptop.
