Question about Canon MultiPASS MP360 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I had exaclty same problem - black not printing - was about to buy a new printer but did the following as a last resort about a month ago - remove the ink cartridges - removed the head and sat it on an a tissue - into the 'well' where the printer cartridges sit I dropped into there a very small amount of water as if to 'wash it through' where the ink would flow, (about a quarter tea spoon) - agitated it a bit - this flushed thru the gaps were the ink goes - I cleaned it all up - dried it with a tissue - put it all back together - it works fine now ! This was a last resort option for me but I guarantee it did work !

My Canon multipass mp360 had a problem with printing color. The black would work fine.I thought it was the generic ink that I purchased but when I went back to the Canon brand I got the same results. No color. I came to this site and tried a small amount of water, agitating it a bit dried it out (ink well). I printed something and worked like it was brand new. Thanks bbanker.

Remove cartridges, remove well head from machine, soak the well head cartridge area in alcohol, rinse with water using a hard spray get out the gummed up ink.. Then blow dry and it works new.

Have you tried 'clean print head' yet? Check your printer manual for how to do that for your printer. Next step, replace the black cartridge. Either the head is gummed up or it is empty.
