Hey mine has the video on and I cant get it of well cheange back to camera how to fix . when open it shows blacks with a small video cam in the first one where a pictuer should be

Use a batery bank w/ a cable, because you'll need to take it appart to fix the battery.it works on mine

Check whether camera lens cover open, if its open you need to contact your phone vendor to replace or re-fix the camera if there any contact issues.

I had the same issue, all i did was select sign out from the menu, then i signed back in and presto, show webcam feature was enabled.Hope it is as easy for you

Open msn
Plug webcam in
Click (>) show menu > tools > audio and video set-up > run through mic and speaker tests > next > set your camera as defaut and adjust settings > finish

take your battery out and your card and dry it out and let it sit for 30 mins then put it back in thats exactly what i had to do mine when i dropped mine in the ocean.. let me know if this helps!

probably on the cam settings it ha a case where it said black and white ...this case must free in order to see colored captures....so ..take a look it is placed somewhere in the right ( low) ...I hope you know how to get on camera settings...if not try this..
there are two ways:
one its to open the AM cap and select from the window...options /video capture filter...and than uncheck the B/W case..
the other is to access the preferences in yahoo messenger ....camera settings...an the same ..uncheck the BW...

The card may be in write protect mode, take the card out and look around the edges for a small lock, like this >>>>>>
put the card back in the camera and you should be good to go.

I had the same problem. more than likely your connector cable between the camera and the display has become brittle over time and is beginning to break. as you open the screen the small wires inside the cable are separating. mine went from 30 deg view to 90 deg no display as yours is now, then 30 deg fuzzy display (cant make out the picture like a VHS when it needs heads cleaned) then the cable gave in and snapped. all the way through. Simply not a lasting camera. I got quotes and it was about $200 to fix. for that price these days u will pick up a better camera anyway. Good luck

No Prob...I had the same problem with my GR-D72U. There is a defect in the CCD image sensor. JVC will fix it for FREE! All it will cost you is shipping it to them. Go to http://www.jvcservice.com/service/CustNoticeCamcorder.asp?PgReq=DspDtaDtl&MdlNbr=GR-D72US&Pgm=CCD , download the rapair request... Send it off to your nearest service center and they ship it back all fixed up in less than a week. I must tell you though, you ONLY have until Dec. 31 2008 to do this. Not only did they fix mine, they cleaned the heads but also buffed out a scratch. After you get yours fixed, post as many helps as you can to others.

Is the lens cover opening?

If not, (this is what was wrong with mine), get a set of cheap eyeglass screwdrivers from the "dollar store". Then commence disassembling the camera, use the smallest phillips screwdriver you can find to remove all the screws, then disconnect the tiny/red/black wire clip from the circuit board (I used a small flat-head screwdriver for this.

After you get the circuit board out of the way you can see the actual mechanisms that control that part of the camera. Remove the small lens cover motor (with red/black wire attached to it) by taking out its phillips screw. There are two sensors for the cover on a small circuit. Open/close the lens cover manually & you'll see where these sensors verify whether or not the cover is open. If the camera senses the cover isn't open, then it will give you this error & never turn on in photo or video mode. I moved the "geared lens" over to the open position & reassembled the camera & it has worked fine since then. My motor was locked up, so I left it plugged in to the circuit board, I assume that you could leave it unplugged & it would not know the difference (sensor wise).
