Question about Canon PIXMA iP3000 InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

Canon Pixma ip3000

Ink carriage will not go back to docking station.

Ink carriage can only be moved to where it is put by hand positioning.

I was using excessive ink and tried to clean the pads on the right side below the ink carriage docking station.

Now, there is a white flatish moulding 'Maybe a trip switch' that slides 'from front to back' that is staying towards the front.

I think this white moulding should be settled towards the back of the printer.

Is there a return spring for this white moulding?

Have taken all the ink cartirages out and gently cleaned many times.

This is the first time it has happenned.

The code strip is the plastic strip that runs across the printer and through the head
carriage, it is supported at each end (one end under spring tension).
If it has become dislodged it will cause this problem. carefully try to place it back into place

"AP position error [6A00]", which indicates that the Sheet
    feed unit.

If your still under warranty, canon does give you the option to deal
with an authorized repair shop, or sending you a referb unit. A new
head will likely not solve the problem as we are dealing with the guts
of the printer, feeder or the brains. Whether or not the local repair
shop will "fix" it or get you a referb is something I don't know, nor
do I think they would know until such time as they looked at it.

Cannon PIXMA iP3000 (Waste ink absorber full)

The waste ink absorber is a pair of pads at the edges of the ink carriage path near the bottom of the printer. Canon will sell you a new set to replace them if you want to d-i-y. Alternatively, you can just rinse the pads until the water runs clean once you open up the printer. Dry the pads well before reinstalling. You need to take the printer apart from the top and get under the ink carriage.

Once you reinstall the pads, you can reset the counter by:
Pixma IP3000
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not,
press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

I hope this helps.

Pixma MP610 will not start up. Was working OK. Just under 1 year old. Printer detected by computer, and print carriage lifts, but will not move. Ink in all the cartridges Front lights blinking alternately...

6A00 indicates a problem with the carriage lifting mechanism. Simply put there is beam kind of thing that the cartridge carriage assembly on which the print head rides on and something on it is obstructing the carriage assembly. The fix? Open the printhead cover and turn on the printer. You will see that the carriage arm is extended and tries to move back to the initial printing position but it can't. Just give it a little helping hand and bingo! The print head moves to the correct position. You will then have to clean up whatever is blocking its path. Usual culprits being ink, paperclips, tiny bits of popcorn(or anything else you prefer eating while printing!:)

Let me know if you need more help,
Sai.

How to replace canon print head printer ip90

After you open the cover and the carriage comes to the center for new ink, you press the resume button for a few seconds and the carriage will go to the printhead changing position. You don't want to ever force the printhead to move. Hope you didn't break something already. Sorry for the stupid help.

Canon Computer Pixma printer ip3000

Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
