Problem with sending ringtones via bluetooth

How do you send ring tones/sounds via bluetooth to another cell phone with the cell phone LG versa (VX9600).

  • meigoat May 12, 2009

The problem is that the file that i want doesn't show up. What shows up via bluetooth are videos and pictures. But what i really want is to send ring tones/sound via bluetooth. If you have an answer that would be great and if you don't thank you so much for all your help and have a good night.

First be sure the two phones are visible to each other,Next pull up the file that you wish to transfer, select options (or more), send, via bluetooth. Then your phone should give you a list of targets choose the one that you wish the file to go to and press select. The receiving phone will then as if the transfer should be accepted. Confirm this and the file will transfer....unless the file is too large, an incompatible type or has been "copy protected". Good luck.

SOURCE: file transfer error

firstly LG phones are well known for having a lot of problems, including music and picture transfer. I have an Lg platinum and it took me days to find out how to transfer things on to it. When transfering music make sure it is in MP3 format otherwise it won't show up on your cell phone. You may be able to purschase a link cable for your phone to connect it to the computer, try searching on the internet or go to lgmobile.com thanks morseasjack

SOURCE: trying to bluetooth ring tones from motokrzr to lg rumor?

Bluetooth technology is still fairly new and it make take a few attempts to connect. Keep in mind some phones, like most Samsungs still use an older version of bluetooth software which only pairs with audio devices. So, best I can suggest is do a power cycle (remove the battery and let it sit for a few seconds and try again) to make sure there is no software loop errors that occur time to time and keep trying. If you still don't have much luck, go ahead and repost and I'll test it with some phones at the other shop and see what I can get.

Ring tone down load

use your phone cable, connect it to the pc and send the tone to your phone from the pc. you should first install a pc suite for your phone to enable the pc to communicate with your phone.

another alternative is using a usb bluetooth device. it looks like a flash disk, connect it to your pc and send the tone to your phone, via bluetooth
