Reload Paper constantly shows up

This printer is very finicky about paper loading. I see this error most commonly when using auto-cut roll paper. If the paper edge is not cut perfectly straight, and it is not inserted into the printer perfectly strait, it will give you an error. When it does this, you can simply load the paper and press "cut" instead of "pause" when it says "press pause" and it will cut the paper straight. You can also set it to "Roll Paper Manual Cut" and load the paper, then set it back to "Roll Paper Auto Cut."

Error response: out of paper

Did you press "ok" or "start" after you reloaded the paper? If so, turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source for a few minutes and then plug back in and turn it on again. That should help.

''place paper in drawer''

Sounds like a paper sensor ; A little black arm that senses paper tray is full, when the tray lifts into position. You might pull the tray and with a flashlight look for any broken parts. I have seen these break when paper jams are removed. This is a Toshiba 2860 correct?

Reload paper error

Listen for the paper tray is popping up when you push it in.

Remove the paper tray completly and look for paper in the cavity.

Reload printer error

Try removing the paper tray, and look under where the paper goes. You should see a rubber pick up roller. Try cleaning it with a rag and some rubbing alcohol. The roller is probably slipping and not carrying the paper in far enough! Good luck John
