Magnavox 15 Turn on TV or Monitor. Works fine for about 20 minutes, then shuts off. Turn it back on. Works fine for about 10 minutes. Turn it back on, cycle shortens until it will not turn on. Leave off for about 10 minutes and the cycle repeats. I think something is overheating. Where can I get this fixed.

    Same Problem.

Unit works for 15 minutes when first turned on, but then will only stay on for 2-5 minutes thereafter. I too think it is overheating and have bought a replacement because it is so annoying...I may take off the back of the unit to see if the internal debris / dust balls are perhaps causing the issue, but I doubt it.

Tried replacing plug to power supply - No Luck (Light is still green on power supply (after it shut off by itself, so power to TV / Monitor is most likely not the issue, or my issue )

Magnavox 26mf23id/37 will not stay on

Replace capacitors 2079 and 2080 with 1000 uf, 50 volt caps. They are on the power PCB at the top as you look at the unit from the rear. Barneyluc.

Magnavox lcd tv 15mf050v/17

I put heat-sinks on U14 and the regulator above it and the TV has been running fine all day. Always shut off after 14-30 minutes before. Heatsinks were just 1/2" x 1" metal strips with silicon thermal compound that I taped up to hold in place to temporarily test, as it is obviously a heat related problem.

If you try it and it works for you, post it here.

TV turns on for about 10-15 min then turns off

Sounds like a tuner section problem. When you are playing a DVD. You are only using the audio video circuit of the TV. Something like a monitor. But when you go back to TV mode... You are now in the tv tuner circuit. And your problem lays there. I had a mouse **** on my tuner section of my tv and it caused the same problem. Yes mice do ****...
