How to set time with new control board?

We have a Whirlpool wall mount oven/microwave combo model # GMC305PD52. A technician just replaced the control board and it's now functional but when we try to set the time, it says "start?". If we press 'start', the display goes blank? What's the trick to setting the clock initially after a new control board?

Thanks,

You may set the clock on your Microwave per page 6 of the User Guide by following the steps below. We've included the link for the User Guide below.https://www.whirlpool.com/content/dam/global/documents/200105/owners-manual-8300610.pdf

This is a 12 hour clock and does not show a.m. or p.m. To Set: Before setting, make sure the oven, Timer and Timed Cooking are off. 1. Press CLOCK. 2. Press the HR or MIN "up" or "down" arrow pads to set the time of day. 3. Press CLOCK or START/ENTER. To Disable: The clock time can be disabled so that it does not show on the display. To disable, press and hold CLOCK for 5 seconds. To display the clock time again, press and hold CLOCK for 5 seconds and the time of day will show on the display. The clock time should not have to be reset.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Wall Oven not working

It is likely the Thermal Cut-Off (TCO) fuse, which for many Whirlpool ovens is located on the back of the unit. Turn the circuit breaker for the oven OFF first. You'll need to remove the trim on the left and right side of the oven (2 screws) and then remove the screws holding the oven in the wall. You can locate it easy enough by looking for the thermal fuse on any of the major appliance part websites. The test is simple enough if you have an Ohm meter, as it will be an open circuit if it is blown. There is only one fuse (normally) so if it is blown neither the bake or broil element will work. There should be a Tech Sheet located behind the control panel which will help, but if you don't feel comfortable doing this call a service tech.

Sometimes we see an intermittent electrical connection due to oxidation of the contacts on the keypad membrane tail. This can be easily cleaned so you can check this before investing in a new keypad. I posted some pictures and the procedure on our website. Here's the link:

SOURCE: Whirlpool electric double oven #RBD305PDQ14 control panel blank

The control panel part on my Whirlpool double oven (part #8302319) went blank six months back. Replaced it. Asked if there was a warranty on the part, was told no there was not. Yesterday, the six month old control panel went blank. Disappointed that Whirlpool manufactures such garbage.

GE wall oven/micro combo JKP86WF7WW will no longer heat

Is it the oven or the microwave that is not heating? If it is the oven it is a very good possibility that the common relay on the control board has gone out. I have seen this several times on GEs. Unfortunately the control board will need to be replaced or repaired. Corecentricsolutions.com is very good about repairing control boards. the bad thing is you have to send them the board. Mark all connections before removing the board. (power off of course)

Whirlpool Wall oven/microwave combo unit Door message
Does anyone know where the 15 amp fuse is? I replaced the 20amp fuse and it worked for a minute or two and then I opened the door and I blew my circuit breaker. I reset my circuit breaker, replaced the 20 amp fuse and now all I get is the Door message. I also noticed that it fused the outside switch on the right side of the door so I had to open the switch up and un-fuse it. This is for a whirlpool GMC305PRS01 Wall Oven/microwave combo unit.

Also if anyone could tell me the correct position the wire is supposed to be hooked up on the switches? I had someone help me take the switch out and they unhooked the wires and now we aren't sure how they are supposed to be hooked up. My light on the microwave doesn't work either. Is it possible the bulb blew when the fuse blew?

New oven won't work and can't set time, display keeps blinking

Hey--  You've spent a bunch of time on this already, so let's figure it out. The first step is to check power connections. L1, L2 , Neutral for proper location and tight connections. Should have 120v and 220v checked at bus block. If these check out, then this new unit should be under warranty and qualify for service. Not unheard of bad board or loose wire on a new unit. Let a tech sort it out on site. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed-  Thanks-  Ed
